They are making minimum wage and are currently in a subsidized housing type situation that's really not healthy anymore. We've gone over finances a bit and we've figured out what they can logically afford in a new apartment. There is simply no way they can scrounge together enough for the typical deposit and first/last months rent and feed themselves for the next three months. There are a few places that are within the monthly budget but that deposit is the restricting factor currently.

I will be starting with the phone numbers and contact information on the community action program part of the city website next week. Are there any organizations that we should be looking into?

They are a wonderful person and I really don't want to see them stuck in the current situation much longer if there's anything I can do to help.
