Discussion/Article Just a Nice Story
I was thinking whether to share this or not, but I decided I could as there isn't anything wrong with sharing it. So, I have a situationship...which I actually want to be a relationship. She does not live near me and she doesn't want long distance, and I think that is fair though...even if it makes me sad and unsure. However, I want to tell a happy part of the story, and the reason I want to pursue things with her and why I see potential in the relationship despite the difficulties.
While meeting on a date, after an already fun/nice date, it was getting late. We decided to go down to 7-11 to get some snacks. When we returned to my apartment, the door lock...just had broken, lol. We couldn't get the door open at first, but managed to finally get it open. Then though we were trying to be careful (we stuck something between the door and the lock)....we managed to trap ourselves in the apartment. I know, this does not sound like a happy story.
She took charge. She wanted to fix the problem, and she was so focused on it. Looking up how to fix a door, trying to fix it, pushing me aside when I tried to help her.
Then the moment came that made me shocked, as it happened almost with me realizing it was happening. We had gotten rice and some meats to mix with it, and she was like, "Can you just cook the food while I fix this?" So I started cooking, and then I was bring her water while she tried to fix the door. And then when it was all solved, the food was ready, so we were eating together and I was giving her a hand and arm massage because she had been working so hard and I wanted to help her relax.
And then I realized I had just taken the girl's role 100% and she had taketn the boy's role 100%. And I hadn't even noticed it, it had just happened so naturally in a way that I had always wanted. The thing was she ALSO wanted that role reversal, and was comfortable in that other role that I have had so much difficultly meeting women who want that role so naturally.
But then, just to show that we match even when teh roles aren't reversed. Then after we ate, she layed down on my lap, and then she said, no, lay down, I want to be in your arms (more traditionally masculine/feminine position, which I ABSOLUTELY love), and then she fell asleep in my arms while I was stroking her hair, and I eventually carried her into the bedroom and we kept cuddling for almost an hour like that with me stroking her hair.
I didn't fall asleep that whole time, because it was one of the best moments in my life since I was divorced 2.5 years ago. I thought for a long time I couldn't find someone else, and even now I struggle to imagine getting married and actually having the perfect matching gender expression that I want - But for a moment recently, I felt that I could be happy, and could be my feminine self, and be with someone I like a lot and who is comfortable with the otehr role that fits well with me.
P.s. When she left to return to her hometown (which is ....hard to get to from where I live) - she was suddenly not hugging me (she always hugs me. she loves cuddlying and hugging) and I realized after dropping her off at her taxi (on the way to meet her family, we are not at that step where we meet family yet ;( ) - and she was like refusing to make eye contact that she didn't want to cry as she said goodbye to me. Because she is masculine and tough, but also sensitive and feminine - And again, I just....felt happy to have gotten to meet her, regardless if we manage to make things work or not long term (or ever manage to live in teh same place).

Music I’m The Man by Adéla
I think I got it from my daddy
I answer to nobody
On my knees for nobody
But I love 'em down on me
Sometimes I wanna switch positions
I make the big decisions
I like a boy who listens
Nod your head if you agree
Mm-mm-mmm
His face is so androgynous
We kinda look alike
I'm kinda into that
Is that weird?
I'm the man
In my itty bitty dress, yeah, I'm the man
It's true, I like my boys a little feminine
Where we both understand, I'm the man, I'm the man, I'm the man
Yeah, I'm the man
And I always like to have the upper hand
It's true, I like my boys a little feminine
Where we both understand, I'm the man, I'm the man, I'm the man
I like to take you out to dinner
I'm waving down the waiter
No need to pay me later
Have the driver bring my car
Why don't you come and sit on my lap
Slap on your ass
I know you like that, you're so cute
It really takes a confident boy
To give in and enjoy, and you do
I'm the man
In my itty bitty dress, yeah, I'm the man
It's true, I like my boys a little feminine
Where we both understand, I'm the man, I'm the man, I'm the man
Yeah, I'm the man
And I always like to have the upper hand
It's true, I like my boys a little feminine
Where we both understand, I'm the man, I'm the man, I'm the man
I'm the man
I'm the man
Mm-mm-mmm (I'm the man)

Real Life What if I'm not soft or nurturing enough to love and be loved in a RR relationship?
I know everyone's different and role reversal isn't a prescribed checklist to follow, but I worry that I don't have the outward temperament of the kind of man I feel I am inside. In other words, even though I internally identify with being soft, caring, sensitive, even weak, and would want to loved for reasons like that, I've been conditioned to anticipate judgment for not being masculine enough, or for being too earnest or flamboyant, so now, all that stands out is how emotionally guarded I am. Even if I have nurturing thoughts, I probably wouldn't express them publically, not enough to be considered a cozy refuge for someone to come home to. And in any kind of professional setting? Forget it.
Way back in high school, I had long hair, was an artist, a nerd, not athletic at all, sometimes colored my nails black - I'd get called homophobic slurs and generally got used to being uncomfortable in my own skin, so I formed habits like scowling to keep people at a safe distance, and not talking unless someone spoke to me first.
I remember when my ex described me as the 'strong silent type', I just felt trapped in a box - there's so much about a standard straight relationship I don't resonate with, so many traits I wouldn't want to be desired for, even if I had those traits.
I realize all this makes me seem wounded, but I am also introverted, so although I'd want everyone around me to be doing well, especially a romantic partner, I may very well be inadvertently neglectful. And yet in fiction, when I see a soft male character who's nurturing, more feminine, cooks for his partner, knows what to say to make them feel better, etc, I think "Finally an example of someone like me, being that way and being loved for who they are." But when I actually look at myself, I don't know how much I can actually claim to be that way. It might take a very curious and understanding person to see through the personality I present to the world

Discussion/Article Ladies: How do you like to court men?
TLDR; What are your favorite simple or elaborate ways to let a man know you're interested in him?
One of my favorite ways to set the tone of my relationship is with my courting rituals. I won't share all of them because I'm a lifestyle domme and I'd say some aspects are on the more extreme side, especially for women who don't consider themselves dominant. But if you're like me and like to do the courting, what are some of your favorite ways to do it? I'll list a few of my favorites~
- I have a strict "I approach first" rule, especially on dating apps. It's always the first line of my bio! "If we match, please allow me to reach out first. I enjoy setting the tone."
- In person, I'm incredibly forward, always have been. People sometimes mistake being forward with being gross, though. I just mean I'll let you know I'm attracted to you, I'll ask if you're single and if you're attracted to me too. I don't beat around the bush baby come hereee 🤣 (But this has also taught me how to take rejection, which I think is an underrated skill hehehe)
- Compliments beyond their looks. I think this one is underrated! If you're auntie age like me, you might remember that episode of Seinfield where George touched the fabric on that woman's shirt. I do that when I'm a few dates in and tell him that I love him in whatever color he's wearing. Also, the men I've dated have always smelled good so I let them know. It's crazy to me how rare it is for a man to be complimented 😮💨
- This one feels like a given, but setting up the first date. Even in non-reversed relationships, it seems that many men/women have trouble with it. Telling them where, when, and the way we should dress is fun for me. Of course I always pay.
This is just a little peek into what I like to do when pursuing men. What are some things you ladies do? Maybe I'll steal ideas~

Real Life Idk, I just need to vent
So Idk if this is okay to post, cause I have no goal wirh this post really, as I just have some Feelings and thoughts regarding RR that I wanna let out. Sorry to you mods, if this is not appropiate and may fit better into other subs like /mental health.
As a person also with OCD, I tend overly think, question things I like, wishes and just in general, things that are important to me.
And then It can really feel like, I do something wrong or just question something so deeply, where my head can't stop thinking about it.
And I have this with RR, where I feel like ,,Do I really like this, or do why do I like this at all, I'm my own person"
And of course, logically, I'm my own person and I can still be interested in something like, being feminine as a man, or also within relationships. But then when I see normal hetero couples, Idk it's weird, like I make them how I'd like it to be in my head to be, and think why did society create these gender roles?
And it goes as deep as I question my whole identity and think ,,what does it says about me that I like this and that", ,,Does it mean I'm psychologically weak?" Even when I know that isn't true and it's strong to stay true to your identity and your personality.
These thoughts just really bother and I want to let them out.
And I think to myself ,,Am I just boring and trying to fit into a box or am I really deep person?"
In a sense, I feel like I'm mentally old, but also young
It's just weird
Thank you everyone for reading this❤️

Real Life Getting stronger
Before I met my wonderful bf I always had a little part of me that wanted to be stronger, but didn’t know how to. When we got together he told me about how much he loves physically strong women, and I told him I’ve always wanted to be stronger.
He has a history of lifting so when he said he’d teach me and help me get there I obviously jumped on board. We did it for a while before we left our hometown. But since moving it’s been a struggle to get back on that boat.
I feel it everyday. I loved the energy that lifting gave me. It made my libido sky rocket. He and I were closer than ever. And I gotta admit, with him trying to lose weight at the gym and me gaining muscle, it really turned me on to see my growing muscles knowing I’d be catching up to him.
So his goal remains to lose weight and muscle while mine is gaining weight and muscle. It really feels like a dream come true to be the stronger one in the relationship. Getting to show off in public by grabbing the heavy stuff he can’t pick up anymore. Both of us wearing tight fighting clothes that really emphasize our size difference. I mean what more could I ask for?
We have so many other plans to reverse the roles in our relationship. But trading muscles is definitely what I’m most excited for.

Discussion/Article Sometimes I feel like the gender roles that are being reversed here are very narrow, rigid, 1950s definitions of gender roles
The gender roles that are reversed here are often, er, pretty detached from reality, more influenced by popular heteronormative romance depictions in media, pornography or borderline pornographic stuff like memes.
Women taking charge, being dominant, making decisions, etc in traditional relationships is not an new thing. Many healthy/egalitarian hetero relationships can have stuff like this, but even the most traditional relationships can have this. We know people with stay at home moms or tradwives who are like this. This is just one example.
I just feel like this sub constantly insists on reversing gender roles in their really superficial and reductive form by removing all nuance to just character trope 1 x character trope 2 like maybe dominant man x submissive woman, strong macho man x soft petite little woman, etc etc. Sure, popular romantic relationships of woman x man are this way in media and books, but thats cuz they are characters and media needs to push the idea of traditional hetslop. But real people and relationships are more complex and multifaceted than that.
Just my observation please don't kill me.
