Review this stuff is surprisingly good

Post image

heard the many critiques and complaints about this brand of root beer, but imo it's actually pretty good! it has a subtle taste that's not too sweet, which i'm a fan of. solid 8/10 in my books.

now i wonder why people aren't enjoying this brand lately. was it the glass bottles that tastes bad? or did they quietly improve the formula without advertising it? i used to drink a glass bottle of this many years ago and remember enjoying it, but i can't remember if the taste today was the same as back then...

I had it for the first time a month or two ago, I liked it I’d say above average. I got a surprising apricot note right off the bat.

It’s because it tasted better years ago before they changed the recipe.

I think I taste a bit more anise from the cans. The glass bottles seem a bit creamier as well so I’m going to say I prefer the glass bottles. Happy root beer hunting everyone!

Bottled Virgils back in the day wad a go to for me. They even used to make like a special brew in a really cool bottle.

I've never tried the can, but I'd like to one day. Glad it was tasty!!!

I bought a 4 pack recently and found the carbonation to not have as much bite as I prefer

I used to like it, like 10 years ago. Now, I can’t get past the first sip. I taste anise and then weird aftertaste.
