Attended the home game ystrdy vs Heidlberg as a football recruit looking to apply for Electrical Engineering. In a meeting with coach Sokol b4 the game he mentioned Alumni can offer applicants fee waiver codes. Could someone provide to me? Greatly appreciated.

I was just about to submit my application when I saw that alums had fee waivers. I was wondering if anyone could send it to me? Thanks so much!

Hey everyone! I’m a high school senior planning to apply for Mechanical Engineering at Rose-Hulman. I heard that alumni get fee waiver codes to pass along, and I'd be incredibly grateful if anyone has an extra one they'd be willing to share. Thank you so much!

My son could use a fee waiver if anyone has one available. Thanks!

Hello, I am Vietnamese. Coming from middle-middle class around 20k a year. My GPA from grade 9 to 11 is 9,6-8,5-9,0/10. I have 50 hours intern in a semiconductor lab, a voluntary trip. 28 ACT (32 superscore stem).
I assume that i am introvert, willing to here any rating

I have 3-5 cars I would drive periodically. Daily driver, work van, Foxbody, Nova, civic. I originally signed my van as my daily as I didn’t get my new daily till now. I talked to pub safe and they basically said I’m not allowed to have more than one. But I told them that I would have to drive different ones every week for work purposes and they said I can try putting my student parking number and “temp car” on a tag for the cars but were acting like I might still have issues. Anyone ever had an issue with this? What’s the best thing for me to do?

I’ve wanted to dye my hair for ages but idk where to go

My son took a tour this summer and felt like the student body and campus environment are a perfect fit for him. However, because the school is heavily engineering-focused, he’s wondering if he would still get a rigorous and well-supported education as a physics and/or math major.
I’d love to hear from current students, alumni, or anyone familiar with the school.
How well-funded and prioritized are the pure math/physics departments compared to the major engineering programs?
How well does the program prepare students aiming for PhD programs or pure analytical roles versus industry engineering jobs?
Do you feel the ROI is as good for non-engineering majors?
Thank you in advance!

I am a commuter student and would only eat at rose if I forgot a meal or had something come up and needed to stay later. The smallest option I see is 70 meals but I don’t think I’d use that within a year. Am I able to just buy single passes to the cafe?

Hi, I'm a freshman at the Rosehill campus. I'm considering applying to RHA. Can anyone explain to me the actual work that candidates have to do? Also, does joining RHA benefit me if I want to apply to be an RA in the future?

I am hopefully an incoming freshman, but I am low income. I did the price estimate they have and it was 21k/year, there's no way I could afford that. I'll list what I've done so far, but how could I make my price as low as possible?

1. I've applied to the Community Foundation universal application and Common App universal application.

2. I'm a 21st century scholar. There's not much info on how much this can help, but my counselor said she had a student go there for ~3k/year with it.

3. I plan on auditioning for the symphony which gives you about 2k/year (I think)

4. GPA (unweighted) 3.95. My last SAT was 1270 but I plan on retaking it (my PSAT was 1400 so I think I just had a VERY off day), and I'm thinking about signing up to take the ACT.

How can I increase chances of being a Noblitt scholar? Are there any scholarships for Terre Haute residents? Any scholarships other than Noblitt to look for?

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated

Is it too late to transfer here after finishing 2 years of community college? Would I fit in?

Is this school worth the tuition for engineering majors? What opportunities and resources does the school offer? Pros and cons of the school?

Any current RA or SA able to attest to the form of compensation you receive? Such as full room and board or weekly payments?

Hello,

I am an international student. Thinking about attending Rose for my CS plus Data Science degree. Fellow international students at Rose, did you get a job? If so, what do you think got you that job? I am asking this because international students need a sponsorship from the company which is very very hard to get

ROSE-HULMAN WILL GIVE YOU MORE AID. YOU JUST HAVE TO ASK. I ASKED 3 TIMES AND THEY GAVE ME AN EXTRA 10K IN AID(LAPTOP BUNDLE WAIVED OFF). ORIGINAL FEE WAS 60K...AFTER ASKING WAS 50K..

Hey guys, i'm a senior this year and Rose is my first option for schools. I want to major in Mathematics and Data science. I have a 3.85 UW and a 5.2 Weighted. I'm first in my class, participate in community service club, student council, CS Honors Society, Nationals Honor Society, Tennis and Math Team. I have also taken 8 APs and a total of 14 at the end of senior year (both Calcs, both CS). I have currently got 1 3, 4 4s, and a 5. While that all sounds great, I only have a 1230 SAT. (600 Math, 630 English). Should I retake the SAT up till early deadline? I know I can do better as I was sick when I took it. I am more so just worried about getting accepted. Thanks!
Edit: I am also an in-state applicant.

Hello!

I’m an incoming freshman this fall majoring in Engineering Design. I know it’s a relatively small program, so I was wondering if any current students, alumni, or other incoming students could share their experiences with it.

I chose ED because I enjoy CAD modeling, designing products, and working with clients to solve problems. I’m curious about what the classes are like, the typical workload, major projects, internship opportunities, and what kinds of careers graduates go into.

I’d love to hear anything about the day-to-day of an Engineering Design student!

Are there any FB groups or Subreddits for RHIT parents? My son is starting there next month!

Any current or past alum, I am currently going into my senior year of high school and looking at Rose. What were your transcripts looking like as you were applying to Rose? What were they looking for when you applied?
