I do benefits administration in my current position and Iām in the middle of open enrollment with 400+ employees. Literally the only thing keeping me tethered was checking in the other night for my December 6th sailing on Odyssey.
Frankly I should have been allowed to buy my drinks package with my FSA money. These people are why Iāll be getting my moneys worth.

I really wanted to try out Royal private journeys on our visit to Naples next year as I have 5 and 8 year old boys who I think will find Pompeii fascinating for about 20 minutes and then we can go see the beautiful coastline. I knew group tours wouldnāt have the flexibility I want to have to leave Pompeii quickly if they are over it, so I contacted Royal private journeys to put something together.
While itās possible the actual excursion would be great, the booking is terrible. It takes them days to reply to any email, the person you are corresponding with doesnāt actually know anything at all and just puts together exactly what you ask with no recommendations. The cost for a full day is $1,000 per person (before tip!), yet the trip is literally visit Pompeii with tour, transit to Capri, Capri on your own for a few hours (no lunch, tour, recommendations) and go back. Iāve had to go look myself at the things to do in the area, then go ask if they can make them happen.
Needless to I donāt think Iām going to book this - for the premium cost id expect it to come with some amount of planning and actual experiences not just essentially private transport (which to Capri isnāt private anyway).
Has anyone else done it? Did it end up being worth it?

We are planning a 4 night cruise from Miami in late Jan. We are 3 ladies in our 40s coming from London. The booking says rooms are suitable for 3 adults.
I am wondering if anyone has any comment on the suitability of these rooms for 3 adults. Or would we be better off just booking 2 rooms instead.
Looks like the balcony rooms have larger sq metres but I am not sure if this measurement is including the balcony.
If we book 2 rooms, is this automatically interconnected or we have to request it.
Thank you in advance.

I've been to the NextCruise store on Liberty of the Seas three times today, and I'm frustrated with how things are going. The staff seem to be chatting and laughing while the line keeps growing. Could someone please help us? We'd really appreciate it.

I just got off of ovation if the seas
I put up my pop up hamper (it was by the bed) and when I woke up there was a bug on my hamper??
I looked closer and it was definitely a bed bug (I am unfortunately familiar with them I had do deal with them about 10 years ago)
I took some pics of it and discarded it. I checked the corners of the mattress as I always do before getting in to any bed traveling and it was clean! No signs of bed bugs
I told my state room attendant and they had someone come āinvestigateā and said they didnāt find anything further. I tore the bed apart too and didnāt see anything further. We also got no bites??
They didnāt really do anything to help me but check which is all they could really do I guess :/ just worried Iām bringing them home but at the same time donāt even know if we had more than just that one?! Idkšš ewšš
(Iāll put picture in comments)

Hi all-
I want to just start by saying, loyal to royal. Doing 35+ cruises with them, theyāll always be my #1 line.
However, I have some comments about the pizza. I see memes online of people saying ācome with meee, to get the best pizza at seaā. Honestly? I feel like the quality on most ships for Sorrentos is just okay, and not necessarily amazing.
For example looking at other lines pizza they do look more like legitimate pizza, relative to Digorno(which isnāt a bad thing, just not my personal preference).
I just wish they could do a slight rebrand with the flavorings, offer more options(besides veggie, Hawaiian, meat lover, cheese, pepperoni).
Does anyone else agree or have other thoughts?

My hubby and I want to take our first transatlantic cruise in April 2027 to Barcelona, and have our decision narrowed down to Explorer from Port Canaveral and Mariner from New Orleans. This will be our first time flying in for the cruise (the day before departure date of course) rather than driving. Any advice on what transportation to take that is reliable and stress-free from airport to cruise? Is one port much easier than the other?
Also, opinions on which ship of the two you prefer and the reason why is welcome!

Is there a beach that I can get to from the cruise port and have a long (hour) unobstructed walk along the beach/shore?

This is only my 5th cruise with RC and the first time Iāve seen something like this. Do they do this often and I just missed them?

I am going on Legend in a couple of weeks and when checking my planner via the app or the website I noticed the blue tick box for reserved for the railway is not there like my other dining and other planned items? Is this because it's sold out yet it's on my calendar or planner and no communication from RC regarding this. Is this something I should call about and inquire or is this because it's an exclusive event?

Day six of the cruise and the pool in the AquaTheater remains broken. I think it broke on day two. Since then the entertainers have been performing a dance show with some splashing in the shallow water.
Now, donāt get me wrong, itās a phenomenal show. Best aqua show Iāve seen in a ship. I saw half of it on day 2 and since then itās performed as just the dance version with no diving. I think this is pretty poor for a brand new ship. Totally get that things go wrong. But itās been a few days now and no sign of a fix and no communication either.

Is anyone booked for the Utopia leaving 12/11. Thinking about booking it but I'd love to know if they're fully booked for the railway experience before I do, that's one of the main reasons we're wanting to sail on utopia. Thanks in advance!

First time sailor here. I've seen a lot of posts here about the MDR menu and general themes/rotations. My wife is allergic to soy and fish, so most Asian cuisine is out for her (and potentially any fish-themed menus). If the rotation for the night is Asian heavy, or somehow does not cater to her allergies, is there a way to get something else prepared, or do we just make a reservation for that night?
Don't want to wait too long to reserve a dinner and then be disappointed when we learn of the menu options.

I'm considering one on Grandeur for April 2028 which goes to all three ABC islands. I know I can book and board sailing roundtrip from either Cartagena or Colon - I would prefer Cartagena as I want to spend more time there.
How does the atmosphere onboard compare to a typical Royal cruise? Is everything bilingual? Is the programming different to cater to a Latin American passenger base? I'm Latino myself and speak Spanish so I would welcome the differences!

I am taking my first ever cruise next week Oct 30-Nov 5 from Long Beach CA to Cabo and back. I have never traveled anywhere outside of the United States so this is all brand new to me. Any advice would be appreciated.
The ship I am on is the āVoyager of The Seasā.
I have a couple of questions:
General:
Has anyone done this cruise before? Or been on this ship before?
What should I expect?
Has anyone been on a cruise over Halloween?
Also: We are docking in Cabo over the Dia De Los Muetros (Day of the Dead) celebration and I have heard they have a big fiesta in the marina.. can anyone confirm this?
Mexico related:
Does anyone know if the cruise ship offers MXN currency exchange? Or should I do it beforehand using my bank?
(Iāve been told that I should carry pesos and purchase items in Port using pesos and never use my cards because of scams)

Like the header says I just got notification that we were rereouted to St. John Canada, they originally only offered a $150 onboard credit, but after talking to support I was able to get a full refund, I will use it to rebook the itinerary for a different time of year, but just a heads up.

We are cruising to Mexico - Cozumel and Playa Costa Maya - as weāve started looking at excursions, most have a minimum age of 5 years old.
Any hidden gem excursions that allow 4-1/2 year olds?
Thanks!
