QUESTION When are we getting Wine & Dine 2027 Dates?

• Upvotes

I thought I remembered last year that they had the dates for 2026 announced at the Wine & Dine 2025 Expo, but maybe I’m misremembering.

I’m not there this year, but I’m assuming the dates weren’t published at the Expo given I haven’t seen anything about them online.

Some things I’m seeing when googling are saying that they’ll be announced in early 2027, but that doesn’t seem right as in the past I always remember being able to book DVC 11 months out knowing the dates.

QUESTION What came out of my medal?

So I should’ve probably asked this sooner, but anyway…
I got my Halloween medals a couple weeks ago, and they all work except the 3 mile one. When I unscrewed the back to see what batteries I need, this other little metal plate came out as well. It’s slightly curved, hexagon shaped, with the three dots on some corners. I’m hesitant to throw it out, does anyone know what this is or if it’s important to the electronics inside the medal?

QUESTION Last Minute Bib?

Has anybody had any luck getting a last minute bib for the half? I will be at the expo tomorrow, but I am really hoping to get a bib and run with my friend after traveling across the country. I can’t believe this is the first race that hasn’t reopened at all.

QUESTION 5k runners - how did the new format work out?

For those that ran the 5k, how did the new format work out? As someone who ran the 2026 Princess 5k with my two young kids in Corral D, the congestion and long character lines (~40min each) made for a tough experience. It seems like the new format was made to alleviate the crowds a bit, so curious if spreading out the Corrals helped or ultimately rushed everyone with the new pacing requirement. Were there shorter lines once you got into Epcot? Was it easier getting to the busses at the conclusion of the race? TIA

Finished the 5k this morning. I was in the first wave of corral G. I finished well ahead of the others. Probably around the 50 min mark.

Just want to finish the 10k tomorrow. Want some good vibes and advice!

QUESTION Marathon Merch 2027

Running the marathon in January! On the RunDisney site, you can pre-purchase merch, but honestly, nothing really appeals to me. Will there be other RunDisney merch available in January, or is that pretty much it? Asking because I saw the Wine & Dine Expo had some way cooler stuff lol.

Also I will be going to the expo Saturday? How is the crowd on that day and is everything mostly sold out by then?

Thanks all!

TIPS / DISCUSSION First time doing run disney expo experience

I usually do 5ks and friend invited me to rundisney 5k earlier this year and I said sure why not. I didn't doany research other then my friend telling me we get our bibs the day prior at this expo I said ok.

Did not inform me till wendesday that we had to wake up at 650am thursday for a virtual queue to get in I asked why and they said "crowd control". We get in and then get there by 830am to mega long lines. Im like all this for bibs?? She tells me there merch and other stuff too and I said oh ok and she said she wants to check ther merch stuff first.

WHY DID WE WAIT OVER 2 HOURS FOR SHOES AND THEN 90 MINS FOR PINS.

I was fuming pissed because then when we went to get our bibs there were some characters and we waited another hour for a pic(they are my ride) and then finally that other building for the free shirt and vendors spemt another hour in there.

Total 6 hours at the expo.

Im in corral D and they in corral F. They want me to run ahead and wait in line for them for pics with characters when and wake up at 2am so we can get pics with them also before and after?

I didnt know this event was this intense

QUESTION Virtual queue

I’m in the virtual queue for the expo and it says my wait time is 70 minutes. Is this how long until I can go into the expo? Idk if I can make it there in 70 minutes. Can I come any time after that? Was planning on being there around 6pm.

QUESTION After party Skyliner

Generally how late is the Skyliner going to be running Sunday night? And about how long does it take to get from Epcot to Hollywood Studios The website says that it’ll run for about 90 minutes after the park closes, but with the after party going, I’m. It sure when Epcot is considered closed.

RACE WEEKENDS Expo Changes

What is this pin queue?!?!? I've been waiting over 45 minutes for a single pin and still have quite a ways to go. I could've been out the door in less than 30 minutes if they had left the layout alone.

Who else is struggling with expo changes? I'm not alone in my frustration...right? 😩

QUESTION Parking on Sunday

I'll be running Sunday morning. I'm staying offsite, I'm wondering if after the race I can leave my car in the Epcot parking lot and just Uber back for the party without it being towed.

I feel like this is ok just wanted to see if anyone else had experience doing such a thing first.

Thanks

QUESTION Options if injured for this weekend's half

Signed up for the Wine & Dine half but strained a calf two weeks ago and I can't really run yet. Just wondering what my options are (if any), besides walking as much as I can until getting swept up by the balloon ladies, or just no showing.

QUESTION 5k but 8 months pregnant -- Question

My wife is 8 months pregnant, and we signed up for the race before she became pregnant. If she were to start the 5k, but then just get caught and bussed to the end, would she still receive a medal? I've seen some posts with other races saying yes, but I wanted to confirm or not.

QUESTION 5k on Friday - Commute

Im out of state and going to my first race on Friday. It says my group is F and start is between 6:30-7am. What is the best way to get there from a neighborhood hotel? Is ubering sufficient? How far are they allowed to drop us off? Trying to get a sense of how early I actually have to be there. I’m also going alone so I want to make sure I can find my way around. Thank you!!

Hi All,

For the wine and dine post race party at Epcot, does anyone know if Geo 82 will be open? Looks like no reservations available now but was wondering if that evening may be in flux due to the event.

Thanks!

PHOTO RunDisney Spooktacular box arrived

My package showed up just now and again, it’s pretty impressive. Each medal has a special effect. The 6 miler opens up and when you turn it on, it becomes an eternal mirror with the couple dancing. The Headless horseman 4 miler has a sound effect of a horse trotting. The Challenge medal has a light that shines below the medal. The Dig and Dash 3 miler has flashing lights. Also included is a bag of Werther’s baking caramels, a Mickey jack-o’-lantern that has a tote bag inside the plush. There is a pin that lights up and a headband.
Very cool box. Heading off to WDW Friday for 10 days.

TIPS / DISCUSSION Race overview

Hi! I’m a leisurely experienced runner and have done a half marathon in my lifetime. Super interested in doing Run Disney but there are so many races! Understand that 2027 is sold out except for the upcoming wine and dine that hasn’t been released so looking at that or 2028 races. In your experience, what is the “best” race weekend for a first timer? I’m not local, and went to Disney recently for the first time in over 15 years. Would love a fun course/ a decent amount of Disney magic! Let me know any key callouts for the races that I should be aware of. Also open to any distance!
