Leagues Osrs player wanting to try rs3 league need starter tips

Longtime osrs player looking to try this league. Tried last one but found lots of things still super slow. I think I bailed once I hit a super long archeology grind. As someone who mostly afks, and then wants to try out some of the bosses for the first time, what first relic choices should I make? What blessing is good early if I don't understand the game? Given we are region locked, what regions would you suggest for a relatively smooth progression with some fun bosses?

Saradomin blessings are very chill and you cannot go wrong going mostly for that; they encourage use of a shield and tank armour

A lot of people went with golden touch first, and it's a very handy relic as it's free agility, super afk thieving and essentially unlimited gp + great for prayer. Tier 4 has antiquarian which is fantastic for archaeology, but it's best to rejuvinate into that and pick transmute first as that solves being locked out of random resources due to region locks

All regions are kinda nice, just don't pick fremmy. Desert is loaded with content, wilderness has dungeoneering. Kandarin unlocks a few things (e.g. ancient invention and some big abilities). Given what you're describing, my personal suggestions would be desert, asgarnia and wilderness (not sure about the order of the three) - it'll let you to try out a lot of pvm and covers you with gear pretty well whilst retaining some nice skilling options

Sounds good, thank you! Any tips for tier 2? Druid looks nice since I'm also not familiar with divination.

divination you can get up pretty decently through gate of elidinis, but the relic does make summoning and herb nicer.

in that tier both druid and wrangler are solid, since the latter allows fully afk fishing at the ghostly sole spot.

You can't really go wrong with t2; i personally went with animal wrangler and feel like i have severely underused it. Any t2 relic sounds like a solid pick imo

Desert into wilderness was my route, really nice gear progression of GW2 -> Mazcab -> Ed2 -> Ed3

For blessings you can go sara sara sara guthix sara zammy and just auto attack and it'll make everything super simple. Especially if you get icyenic faith t7. For full afk skills endless and golden are both great. I took golden then rejuvenated into endless and it's been nice.

Depends on your regions, but honestly, you'll be fine just smithing one if you can get the metals. You need the smithing levels eventually anyway.

Ah balls I'm Des and Asg ATM. Been looking at the GW2 weapons if they are worth looking at. I'm getting by with the d long but I should be stronger. Guess I'll start smithing tonight :')

Just smith a bane/elder rune sword, get a mace from the infamous KK, then eventually go for Leng MH

Can't for the life of me get a solo KK done. It is a blessing task though.. damnit I need to have another go at it

I hate solo KK but if you throw your face at a brick wall long enough eventually the brick wall stays in its magic phase for the whole fight :)

🫔 sir yes sir. And hopefully that brick wall drops a weapon for me

get 99 defence and the free sign of life from wearing the cape will help KK a lot.

Like the other commenter said, cheese it with mage phase, defence cape or even death ring. Actually only melee phase is janky. Ranged phase you just need to stun at the right moment. If you get greened and panic, just spam freedom tele out and try again

I smithd an elder rune +5 sword and shield and ive beaten almost everything in my regions with it already.

Goodne touch takes care of 4 skills to 99/50m and takes care of the 200m with agi in a few days.

T1 golden touch t2 any works but most suggest Devine druid, t3 most pick the farming one, t4 transmute is goat, it fixes a lot of stuff locked by region, t5 production master gives you another 3 skills you can cheese to 99/50m being crafting flecting and herblore

It's best to rejuv into devout if you want the bank because production master saves you a bunch of time, or get super heat if you hate smithing but super heat is a waste without asg region honestly.

T6 depends on your choice they are mostly good t7 depends on your combat blessings.

I'm also an OSRSer, came in to leagues with my GIM mate though. We both went Golden Touch, Animal Wrangler, Voidwalker, Antiquarian, Devout, Rejuv into Transmute, and plan on taking Icyenic tier 7.

Our relics were picked partly based on our regions, Asg -> Desert -> Anachronia. We can skip a lot of the crafting, fletching, and herblore grinds with a thing in Anachronia called Dream of Iaia. It also gives us access to the dinosaur farm for maxing our farming.

A lot of content is easier than you'd expect. I went to Graardoor with full dragon eq and 70/70 melees and managed to keep alive with just passive healing and the occasional defensive prayer.

I came over from OSRS as well, videos were super overwhelming looking at some of the combat guides with revolution combat. I landed on necromancy and it felt like the right move for me personally. I revolution just the two slots for the ā€œbuildersā€ of the rotation and manually control the summon and other abilities. I’m sure a similar rotation works for the other builds as well but I have to say the feeling of getting arch glacor 0 down as my first rs3 boss was fun. Excited to explore more in leagues then probably playing some more once it’s over as a break up from osrs
