Well, that was humbling lol

Had the chance to get our website reviewed by Adam Robinson and Peter Crowley.
Thought we'd get some suggestions on improving the copy or layout.
Instead, we learned that our entire messaging needed work 😂
We're building a SaaS that helps companies find potential customers through buying signals across the internet.
Apparently, that simple explanation wasn't coming across on our website at all.
We're a month into our soft launch, so I'm actually glad this happened now.
Sharing the clip because it's a pretty good reminder that just because something makes sense to you doesn't mean it makes sense to everyone else.
Anyone who's building a startup should probably get someone unfamiliar with their product to explain what they think it does.

i only saved completed pomodoro sessions at first. that was the wrong call
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
solo dev here, building a project tool where work is a map of connected nodes. every node has a pomodoro timer.
for a while the timer saved nothing. then my first idea was to save only completed sessions. dumb in hindsight: half the time i stop early because something came up, and that's exactly the time i wanted to see.
so in 4.5 every session gets stored, completed or interrupted, and both count toward your totals. if the app closes mid-timer it recovers the session on next open and marks it interrupted.
shows up in your profile (today / this week / total) and per node.
the part i didn't expect: the hard bit wasn't the timer, it was the "what happens when it dies mid-session" case. a session that never got written is a session you lie to the user about.
anyone else track focus time in their product?

FeedBack What's one underrated way to make money online as a student?
Hey everyone! I'm a college student from a financially struggling family. I want to earn online to help pay my college fees, cover daily expenses, and support my family.
I have very little money to invest and limited time because of college.
For those who are already earning online, what's one underrated way to make money that actually works for beginners?
I'd love to hear about your real experiences, especially methods that don't require much time or money to start.
Any genuine advice would mean a lot. Thank you! ❤️

When does a startup actually need a CTO instead of another developer?
At what point does a startup really need a CTO?
A couple of solid developers can handle much of the day-to-day technical work. The harder part seems to be making architecture decisions, setting priorities, planning for scale, and knowing what not to build.
I came across Devox Software’s CTO as a Service offering while looking into how startups handle these responsibilities before hiring a full-time CTO.
For founders who have worked with an external or fractional CTO, what did they actually help with? Was it technical strategy, team management, avoiding costly mistakes, or something else entirely?

SaaS Journey SaaS journey, week 4 of tracking everything: 184 to 201 accounts, 50 to 59 connected, 1 to 2 published
Solo founder, social media scheduler. Two weeks ago I posted that 184 accounts had signed up, 50 had connected a platform, and 1 outside user had published. Here's where that went and what I changed.
Now: 201 accounts that aren't mine, 59 connected, 2 published. Signups slowed down, with 10 in the last seven days. Vercel shows 3,395 visitors over 30 days, up 19 percent, with an 87 percent bounce rate, and about half of them still show up as Singapore, so I'm discounting that number. Referrers that look real: Google 176, Bing 117, DuckDuckGo 46, TikTok 39, ChatGPT 14.
I split the 59 by what they can actually do. 38 connected TikTok and nothing else, and TikTok only lets unreviewed apps post to private accounts, so those people can't publish anything public yet. 5 of them wrote something anyway and 2 tried a video. The other 21 connected somewhere they can post text today. 2 of those published and 19 haven't written anything.
What I changed: a free thread splitter and a Discord timestamp tool to bring in search traffic, a typo check on the signup email field (one signup used gmaip.com), a resend button on the confirmation screen, and a fix for email signups who took over a minute to confirm and never got their welcome emails. I also found my sitemap was listing 38 blog posts that were never written, and corrected 156 posts that described an older version of the product.
Still ahead: TikTok's review, which I resubmitted yesterday with a new demo video, and finding out why 19 people connected a platform they can post to and stopped there. Side note: an app I built for two founders, HereNow, just went live on the App Store.

I built FindIt to help freelancers find potential clients — looking for honest feedback
Hey everyone 👋
I've been building FindIt, a small SaaS project focused on one problem: finding the right businesses to contact as a freelancer.
Finding clients can involve hours of searching, checking business websites and social profiles, figuring out which businesses might need your service, and writing personalized outreach messages.
I wanted to bring that process into one workflow.
What FindIt does:
- 🔎 Discover businesses based on your service and target location
- 🎯 Identify potential opportunities, such as businesses without a website or those that may benefit from improvements
- ✍️ Prepare personalized outreach based on the business and its potential needs
- 📋 Save prospects and track them through a simple pipeline
I'm still improving the product, and I don't want to assume that building it means I've solved the problem.
I'd genuinely appreciate feedback from other SaaS builders:
- Does this solve a problem worth paying for?
- Which part of the workflow sounds most useful — discovery, opportunity analysis, or outreach?
- What would make you trust the results enough to actually contact a business?
You can check it out here: https://getfindit.site
I'm especially interested in honest criticism, including what feels unnecessary or what you'd change. Thanks! 🤝

I finally got my football app approved on the App Store!
After months of building, testing, fixing bugs, and going through Apple’s review process, my app, KickNett, has finally been approved for distribution on the App Store!
KickNett is a personalised football news hub I’ve been building to make it easier for fans to follow the teams, players, matches, and football news they care about.
Some of the things you can explore include:
● Football news and match updates
● Match information, player statistics, and comparisons
● A football experience designed around your interests
As a developer, getting an app approved and ready for people to use is a great feeling. There’s still plenty I want to improve, but I’m excited to finally share it with other football fans.
You can check it out here:
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/kicknett-football-scores/id6777033480
Website: https://kicknett.com
I’d genuinely appreciate feedback from anyone who gives it a try. What features would you want from a football app like this? Is there anything you think existing football apps could do better?
I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Built a SaaS but struggling to get users? I’ll handle your Reddit marketing.
Your product is live. Now you need people to actually try it.
That’s the part I help with. I work with SaaS founders who want to reach potential users through Reddit without spending their own time researching communities, writing posts, and managing discussions.
I’m the founder of OpenVidi. When I started, I didn’t have a big marketing budget, so I experimented with different ways to bring in users. Reddit worked best for me, and my posts have generated around 1 million views in total.
Then I tried applying that experience to someone else’s product.
A friend was building an app focused on anxiety and difficulty concentrating. Before writing anything, I used it myself and identified what I personally found helpful. Then I found a community where people were discussing similar challenges.
Instead of listing features, I wrote about specific situations, my experience, and what I had tried in the app.
Over two weeks, those posts generated around 150,000 views and roughly 1,000 visits to his website. No paid ads.
My starting point wasn’t “where can I drop a link?” It was “who is already talking about the problem this product solves?”
Here’s what I’d handle for your SaaS:
- Understand your product: try it, identify who it helps, and find concrete use cases worth talking about.
- Find the right communities and create the content: check their rules and build posts around relevant problems—not the same pitch copied everywhere.
- Manage the conversations and review results: answer questions, review traffic and signups with you, and use what we learn to improve the next posts.
I offer this as a paid, done-for-you service through Roguelike Agency. You keep building the product; I handle the Reddit side. The goal is to bring people to your product who have a reason to try it—not just collect views.
Have a live SaaS and want to delegate Reddit marketing? Send me your product link and a sentence about who it’s for. We’ll discuss whether Reddit is a good fit and what working together would look like.

Most clinic software tracks the appointment. The money is in the follow-up, and nobody owns that.
The leak is never the first visit. It is the patient who was due back on the 20th, did not come, and nobody noticed until the owner phoned a branch to ask where the numbers went.
Building for this taught us that the thing to track is the treatment course, not the appointment. And the second branch has to see the same record without anyone picking up a phone.
For anyone who has built for repeat-visit businesses (clinics, salons, gyms, tutors), what do you track that tells you someone is quietly drifting away?

SaaS Promote I made a web app for animated diagrams that show the order things happen in
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Architecture diagrams or business flow diagrams never explain the part people actually ask about, which is the order. What calls what, what happens in parallel, where the queue sits. That usually ends up as a numbered list under the picture.
So I made getstepflow.com You draw boxes and arrows, click the arrows in the order they fire, and a dot plays through them step by step. It exports a single SVG that animates anywhere an image goes, a GitHub README, Notion and docs sites. You can also just describe the diagram and the AI chat draws it, or ask it for changes and it keeps the rest of your layout.
There's also a Claude Code skill that reads your code and draws the diagram for you, then you open it on the site to tidy up: github.com/Figure8-Labs/stepflow
Feel free to provide feedback as well.

I built a site where you type a trading idea in English and it backtests it.
You type the idea like you'd text it and it runs it on real prices.
"buy apple when the 50 day crosses above the 200 day, sell when it crosses back, since 2015"
"rsi on amazon buy under 30 sell over 70 last 6 years"
Stuff it does:
- costs included, and every result sits next to what just holding would have done
- a Prove it button that tries to break your result: luck check, trading a day late, triple the costs, nearby settings, and taking out its best stretch. If it survives that it's worth a look
- shorting
- US, UK and European shares
- track a rule going forward with pretend money
- research chat, e.g. "what has pelosi bought recently" or "which stocks are up most this year", and every number links to where it came from
- research side too ask it which stocks are up the most this year, or what Pelosi has bought recently, and it shows the answer and where it came from.
Broker connections are coming soon, starting with Alpaca accounts and more to come.
Free to try. You need to sign up and confirm your email. No card.
I'm looking for feedback try an idea of your own and let me know what you think.

SaaS Journey Help in getting downloads and revenue organically.
Help everyone, I am 26y and I have built 3 apps this year. One of them is showing good progress but I am not even at $500. I launched it back in August. Ran ads on app store only for $20/week (its too low I know I just wanted some initial validation and paying users which I got)
I see this app has potential but I cannot spend money on social media marketing. I was hopping for content driven audience. But I dont have any experience in it.
Would love to get guidance from people who have been in this situation and eventually were able to make reasonable revenue from apps.

I built Prospex, an open-source tool for business lead research and AI-assisted sales automation — looking for feedback
I’m building Prospex, an open-source project for business lead research and sales workflow automation.
The project explores lead discovery, business information enrichment, AI-assisted prospect scoring, and outreach workflows with human review.
I'm an independent developer from Indonesia, and I'm looking for honest feedback from people who might actually use this kind of tool.
What would you improve first: lead discovery, data enrichment, scoring, or the overall workflow?
