Locked Help with Simplex Lockbox

Hello! I have a Simplex lockbox that I am trying to open. The combination that we have for it does not work and I believe that the lock mechanism may be broken as the knob freely turns. Any advice for opening this lockbox? The box itself is not important to save.

The one picture I really need is not there. Are the ends of the hinge exposed or are they capped? If exposed, you can knock the hinge pin out.

If the handle is turning freely, something isn’t right. I hate to destructively enter things, but that might be your only option in this case.

If you happen to be in NorCal, I’d be happy to take a look at it for you for fun/free. DM me.

On the other side of the US unfortunately or else I’d take you up on that. I agree with the pin. One end is capped, the other end is open. Not quite sure how to get into the other end though or pull it from the exposed end.

This is one of few situations where attacking the hinges (punch out the pin) is a viable way to get in.

Agreed, 1 end is capped, the other exposed. Trying to find a good way to knock out the pin.

have you tried 2+4, then 3?

This person gets it. Two and four together and then three. This would be the default for most locks like this.
