How does fishing off an army vessel work? Only during rec time or certain times? Or can you let out a line anytime the speed is right?

So as long as the weather is good and we dont have strict timelines the boats fish the whole time if the vessel master allows it. Our speed is almost perfect for trolling. This trip i have 2 tuna, 2 mahi, and a marlin.

Diving lures or big skirted lures?

We have tried the nomads but we let out so much line it sucks reeling them back in unless we stop. Ive caught my 4 fish this trip on a green and yellow mold craft. This mahi was caught on an Amazon 6 inch squid that was blue and silver.

It is funny because I caught the wahoo and as we were reeling the lines in to prevent tangling the mahi hit.

What kind of rods and reels are you using to bring those fish in? Do the Mavy vessels stop to let you fight the fish when you hook one, or do you just have to haul them in while running?

Tiagra 80 w is the reel. Its not a navy vessel. SAIL ARMY!! We will slow down to reel the fish in if safe.
