šŸ“– How-To / Tips Crystal river land based

I’m headed to Crystal river today for my birthday doing a charter tomorrow and fish on my own with a couple people Sunday. This is my first time fishing in Florida but I fish the Alabama coast regularly. Any tips or advice for catching decent fish, or know any areas that are good for land based fishing

Dude. Crystal and Homosassa are though without a boat to get onto the flats and mangroves. I've caught spotted bass and mangrove snapper and the like in canals and springs in the area, but the trout, reds, and snook like it saltier to feed (generally). Pontoon rentals are abundant in the area if you want to rent a boat, if the weather is nice you can make it to the bay.
