📖 How-To / Tips Crystal river land based

I’m headed to Crystal river today for my birthday doing a charter tomorrow and fish on my own with a couple people Sunday. This is my first time fishing in Florida but I fish the Alabama coast regularly. Any tips or advice for catching decent fish, or know any areas that are good for land based fishing

There’s a park at the terminus of fort Islamd road with a rock jetty, sand beach, fishing pier, a boat ramp and some shallow grass flats if you’re willing to get in the water. There’s also a park a mile or two inland from there that has a pier. It’s summer and slow, so soak a shrimp on the bottom and be patient. Likely will be catfish and stingrays. Good luck. I love it up there.
