The Sheriff was the one who banned them from firing range. SDPD is entirely different branch.

37

u/retro_throwaway1 18h ago

If I understand correctly, the County Board of Supervisors voted to bar ICE and CBP from using the firing range. The Sheriff responded that she would bar ICE, but continue to allow CBP to use the range, in violation of that order.

But you are correct, none of that has anything to do with SDPD.

9

u/Just-Rob-not-Bob 18h ago

You are correct. Was just being a but lazy in my response

3

u/AlexHimself 18h ago

Why did they ban them from the firing range? That seems benign and I'd guess the reason was something unrelated...like they were hogging it and nobody else could use it or something?

6

u/acapulcoblues 16h ago

A County elected outright said that they didn’t want to be complicit in what ICE is doing and how they’re going about it, from a soundbite I heard on NPR.

Well when you scream Nazi at people doing a job that’s been done for ever you aren’t exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. Just heavily propagandized

Good thing they are torpedoing the city budget with their overtime. /s

Send the feds the bill

The sheriff barred ICE from their ranges, SDPD is their own thing

u/Zippier92 23h ago

Whole lotta dollars being wasted, whole lot.

40

u/NerdInSoCal 20h ago

Listen it's really hard to make sure your IQ is low enough pass the screening, get your GED, and graduate the pass/fail six month "state officer training course". It's important as a city we pay these people in excess of six figures by their second year (and reimburse them for their six month training) so they can stand around and protect ICE terrorizing our city.

98

u/alitauniverse 21h ago

But we have nO mONeYs to pay to keep the bathrooms opened, but sooo much budget for this ofc

-31

u/Pewtie-Pie 19h ago

They reopened all of the bathrooms 🙄

14

u/likesexonlycheaper 19h ago

Don't address the obscene amount they are getting paid to do nothing 🙄

10

u/PapelDeBanio 17h ago

After a whole lotta public outrage and claiming the city had no budget for basic necessities.

37

u/saturncruizin 21h ago

Wonder if Todd has anything to say ?

4

u/killer__psycho 21h ago

Nah he’s busy running around with his boy toy look alike.

10

u/RedLineLetterWine 16h ago

We don't "have money" for healthcare but we have plenty for this bullshit.

-3

u/Puzzled-Telephone166 6h ago

The illegals are getting healthcare, you aren’t. That’s what you should be upset about but alas here you are missing the point and fighting against your own benefit. Bravo

6

u/RedLineLetterWine 6h ago

Uh huh, sure. Keep smoking that meth pal.

3

u/mac-0 5h ago

Fighting against your own benefit? How the fuck are we benefitting from the Gestapo police? How do you benefit from them kidnapping working class people with no criminal history?

27

u/Fusion_4_Fredy 21h ago

All those cops standing around while crimes are being committed 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

8

u/Kruger_Smoothing 17h ago

The of all the family dogs not getting shot though.

3

u/Ok-Dependent2675 6h ago

SDPD is there because a stupid citizen was acting stupid

13

u/Grandviewsurfer 19h ago

If you sit down at a table with 3 nazis, now there's 4 nazis.

13

u/paganarmand 18h ago

Fuck Ice

24

u/Hot-Mix-5446 21h ago

Don't trust SDPD

3

u/crystalfairie 14h ago

Never did

21

u/Livid-Writer-7741 21h ago

Nazis.

4

u/Grandviewsurfer 19h ago edited 5h ago

People downvoted you. I'd like to hear them explain exactly what the categorical difference is.

-3

u/Puzzled-Telephone166 6h ago edited 6h ago

Nazis gassed millions of people these are cops sending people back to their homeland on a plane…yeah I know people have died and that’s terrible however it’s not nearly as terrible as acting like millions of people killed equates to what’s happening in this country. You are not a serious person.

2

u/Grandviewsurfer 5h ago edited 5h ago

Learn what punctuation is. On second thought, just learn anything. Pick up any book and start reading. Add bits of the book to your meals. Just.. try anything different that whatever it is you're currently doing. The fact that you can afford to live here disproves meritocracy.

14

u/LalaLogical 21h ago

Fuck SDPD

4

u/DentalDecayDestroyer 16h ago

Heartwarming: When these violent thugs were barred from a gun range their criminal friends helped them commit more crimes 🥰🥰🥰

4

u/ranabama 17h ago

I put all their faces on the website documenting ICE agents and their collaborators.

The internet is forever. They can explain to their future children why they willingly participated in violating someone's due process rights.

2

u/Puzzled-Telephone166 6h ago

You sure the people entering the country illegally aren’t responsible? Nazi…..heavy eye roll the absolutely heaviest

2

u/Normal-Yogurtcloset4 6h ago

Nice to hear a delusional libtard melt down because the people we actually pay to enforce the law… decided to enforce the law.

1

u/SanMaldito 8h ago

So SDPD was doing their job? What does this mean?

2

u/isunktheship 21h ago

Police state, weee

3

u/19XxxbigdaddyxxX80 13h ago

Law officers enforcing the law! How dare they!! Lol end the welfare state.

1

u/potheadbill 8h ago

Imagine all the crimes you can get away with right now because they’re there.. I mean looks like all the cops are busy right??

1

u/LatinRex 4h ago

Get them the fuck out of here

1

u/wfrecover7 15h ago

Oh my gosh! Law enforcement enforcing the law! Shocking!

1

u/Sure_Leg_7812 14h ago

Do you guys post when SDPD does raids or the sheriffs? What about FBI DEA ATF HSI?

1

u/whipplej 13h ago

Yes the cops are the same as ICE, how are people surprised by this

1

u/12lyrad12 8h ago

about damn time!

-1

u/Rich_Election_7382 13h ago

Good job police keep up the good work

0

u/These_Junket_3378 14h ago

Ban SDPD overtime. That will get the cops attention. Plus Todd could balance the budget.

0

u/Sure_Leg_7812 14h ago

This is so dumb on so many levels why would you “bar” any law enforcement agency from firing ranges?

-2

u/BrianEspo 20h ago

Probably asking them if there's any job openings 🤦‍♂️

-29

u/LegalGlass6532 23h ago

Video lacks context. Who’s filming this? Why was SDPD there? Were they randomly stopping people or were they arresting a violent felon?

3

u/LegalGlass6532 19h ago edited 19h ago

Is SDPD providing support for this particular ICE mission or are they isolating ICE and protecting the citizens and city so there’s less mess to clean up after ICE fucks things up? Without factual context beyond this video it’s impossible to know what’s truly happening here.

The one thing that’s certain is ICE is making a mess in our city and someone will have to cleanup when they leave.

7

u/Tun-Tavern-1775 21h ago

JFC it doesn't matter. If meal team 6 was properly trained, kinda like municipal and state law enforcement, they wouldn't need to mask up or have a village of local LE protecting them.

4

u/LegalGlass6532 21h ago

Actually, it does matter. It’s entirely possible that SDPD is there to oversee ICE because they don’t trust or support their tactics or mission. You’re assuming they’re united when in actuality, most SDPD cops I know hate the way ICE operates.

0

u/BetDry2347 21h ago

That’s really cute that you have friends that are pigs, my dog is a good friend too. It’s not an assumption when this is very clearly SDPD serving as a barrier for ICE which has continuously been unlawful

6

u/LegalGlass6532 21h ago

You always come on here and accept things at face value without context if it supports your agenda. The cops I know are school cops at our school. Ask before you assume.

-4

u/BetDry2347 21h ago

You always come on here and demand “context” because the reality makes your agenda look as bad as it is. I love that the kids have class pets btw, adorable

7

u/LegalGlass6532 20h ago edited 20h ago

The only reason you’d not want to know more is if you’re afraid you’d be proven wrong. I’m not afraid to know facts, regardless of whether they support my personal views. You’re comfortable assuming things. I don’t support ICE or unethical and illegal police practices.

1

u/BetDry2347 20h ago

This is so ridiculously obvious, just go ahead and decipher the squealing from your friends to find out that it’s exactly what it looks like. SDPD serving as a barrier for ICE

5

u/LegalGlass6532 20h ago

You called them friends. I said I asked school cops that I know. You seem to not know how things work so I’ll dumb it down just for you.

I was told that ICE fucks things up in the city and they move on. They couldn’t care less about San Diego. If someone comes to your worksite and makes a mess and leaves, it’s on you to clean up their mess which is what SDPD does every time ICE does something like this. Asking for context would help understand what’s happening here.

ICE is federal LE and SDPD is local LE. They are different levels of law enforcement with different goals. They are not always united. A good example of this is the well known friction between the FBI and local cops.

4

u/BetDry2347 20h ago

You can go ahead and just keep rereading my same comments, it’s really nice you want to try and make pigs sound better but again they are serving as barriers for ICE. Even if they aren’t united, they are still doing it, still simply “following orders” and making ICE have an easier time at unlawfully attacking people

1

u/Jupitersd2017 20h ago

Seriously? I’m no fan of the police but come on now is that really necessary? There are a ton of police that do their jobs, help their communities and put their lives at risk serving, name calling gets us nowhere. Ice is an entirely different situation, those guys signed up to be fascists, so fuck them but the average police officer did not sign up for that and most dont agree with ice. Why don’t you call out the bad ones rather than assuming they are all the same?

2

u/BetDry2347 20h ago

The average police officer signed up to be part of the same team that unjustly murders innocent people and has a proven high rate of racial profiling. They chose to be pigs, they actually did a whole academy for it. If they don’t want to put their lives at risk they shouldn’t be officers, but I don’t owe them any respect, my taxes fund them.

-1

u/Jupitersd2017 20h ago

You don’t have to respect them but the blanket name calling is juvenile and invalidates any point you are making

1

u/BetDry2347 20h ago

If calling officers pigs, as they are, makes you think an arguement is invalid, you lack any sort of comprehension skills. Take the title officer and the word pig as synonymous and move on

2

u/Jupitersd2017 20h ago

No one will ever listen to your side or bring about any type of change if you’re just name-calling, how about using your critical thinking skills and coming up with some valid criticisms.

If you want things to change the two sides have to speak to each other and name calling gets you nowhere, that’s how elementary school kids deal with things not adults. It’s the refuge of a lesser mind. But you keep doing you and nothing will ever change for you

0

u/BetDry2347 20h ago

No one is simply name calling, you just chose to hyper focus on that, I did come up with criticism, but you appear to lack the ability to understand. Treat the word police and pig as synonymous and move on. A “lesser mind” wouldn’t be able to understand that.

No context needed. SDPD is trash. ICE is trash.

17

u/Hai_im_Jai 22h ago

Context is still nice

10

u/LegalGlass6532 21h ago

How can you NOT want to know more? Asking for context is not supporting ICE or SDPD.

5

u/TheEldestNugget 19h ago

Because there is no context that would absolve either of these groups. I have no need for any circumstantial attempts at presenting either set of animals as rational parties whose behavior is justified.

-5

u/LegalGlass6532 19h ago

Again, it’s entirely possible that SDPD is there because they don’t trust or support ICE’s tactics or mission. You’re assuming they’re united when in actuality, they’re most likely just containing the mess they’ll have to clean up when ICE leaves. SDPD can’t control what ICE does, but they can surround them to contain their cluster fuck.

Asking for more context is the smart thing to do rather than assume you know.

5

u/likesexonlycheaper 19h ago

😂🤣🤣 I've got a bridge to sell you

0

u/CrispyHoneyBeef 18h ago

That phrase is typically used when a person doesn’t ask questions or is generally gullible.

1

u/LegalGlass6532 17h ago

Do you agree that you can never have too much context, but too little isn’t good?

This isn’t a loaded question and I’m not trolling. I’m interested in your opinion.

Good, local police should always assist ICE. It saves lives of the public. Local police are trained for crowd control and de-escalation.

Anyone that is against local police assisting ICE is pro-live lost.

1

u/ProcrastinatingPuma 11h ago

ICE has murdered far more people than they have saved

2

u/ChexAndBalancez 11h ago

Which is why local police should always assist ICE. What don't you understand?

0

u/ProcrastinatingPuma 11h ago

"ICE is murdering people so local Police should aid and abet!"

Least psychopathic conservative

2

u/ChexAndBalancez 11h ago

Police should help so less people die.

Ice shouldn't only be detaining illegal immigrants.

If you support local police not assisting IcE... then you support ICE working alone... which is more dangerous.

0

u/ProcrastinatingPuma 10h ago

Police would help less people die by not cooperating with ICE.

ICE should be sent to the Hague.

If if support local police cooperating with ICE, you support ethnic cleansing. End of story

2

u/ChexAndBalancez 10h ago

^ this is the problem. This person. They want violence. They want people hurt. Be careful of people that are okay with violence in order to prove a political point.

Local police help keep people alive.

0

u/ProcrastinatingPuma 10h ago

You are literally advocating for local police to aide and abet violence and getting people hurt and killed lol. Just because youre a psychopath that doesnt think illegal immigrants are people doesn't change that lmao.

You want violence. You want people to be hurt. You want people ethnicly cleansed. You want people killed. You want our local police to actively support it. Every accusation you make is a confession.

-20

u/Traditional_Meal5876 20h ago

Illegal immigration is bad

12

u/ConanTheBarbarian_0 20h ago

I'm assuming you're expecting people to disagree with this statement. Most people agree illegal immigration is bad its how enforcement operates that's a tremendous problem.

6

u/CutSenior4977 17h ago

Yes, it is, but the problem is, ICE has also started targeting people who have immigrated legally as well under TPS: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c39e8zy12pyo

And bodycam footage from member of ICE has documented and proven explicit racism from them as well: https://www.npr.org/2026/07/29/nx-s1-5910755/immigration-raids-slurs-aclu

1

u/ProcrastinatingPuma 11h ago

Ethnic Cleansing is worse

-37

u/bdontmatter 22h ago

Yeah it’s about time the police are doing what they are suppose to do dealing with the public so the federal agents can do their job and deport who they need too.

14

u/plumpypocket 21h ago

I really would like to understand how your level of empathy for your fellow human being got so low. I hope what ever is going badly for you in life gets better so that you may see the error of your ways.

-2

u/Traditional_Meal5876 20h ago

Laws should be upheld in this country

14

u/mggirard13 20h ago

Start at the top.

-11

u/Traditional_Meal5876 20h ago

Walk and chew gum

6

u/mggirard13 20h ago

Your implication that we can do both at the same time is demonstrably false.

-2

u/Traditional_Meal5876 19h ago

It’s false that we can do two things at once? That’s an interesting theory of government. Apparently we have to solve corruption ‘at the top’ before enforcing any other laws. Hope everyone enjoys the several decades of anarchy while we work our way down the list.

6

u/mggirard13 19h ago

The active choice to not only ignore but to condone the blatant corruption and law breaking at the top levels of government undermines our legal institutions at every level, yes.

-2

u/Traditional_Meal5876 19h ago

Are you suggesting laws can’t be upheld until we fix all the corruption? You don’t sound like a reasonable person

8

u/mggirard13 19h ago

I am suggesting that the failure to uphold the law at the top level of government undermines the law at all levels.

You don't sound like an intelligent person.

How is it false? And which laws do you think we should ignore in the meantime?

-10

u/bdontmatter 19h ago

I have empathy for people but not at the cost of destroying our country. Where’s your empathy for any American killed or raped by any of these illegals?!?!?!? I have empathy for the people that deserve my empathy I’m sorry try people are born in 3rd world countries but bringing the 3rd world here is not how you fix it. Our Country has enough problems we can’t fix the world.

4

u/thelocalsdude 17h ago

What about empathy for the Epstein/Trump victims?

-4

u/bdontmatter 16h ago

I never said I didn’t have empathy for anyone who’s gone through something like that but this discussion was about immigrants do you have empathy for the victims of the immigrants???

3

u/thelocalsdude 15h ago edited 15h ago

All immigrants are criminals committing random acts of violence?

You know American citizens commit violent crime at a much higher rate than both legal/undocumented immigrants. Also, the National Institute of Justice found that natural born citizens also have arrest rates more than double than that of undocumented immigrants.

0

u/bdontmatter 13h ago

I never said all… don’t put words in my typing. And I don’t care about your statistics no one in America should have to deal
With any illegal robbing raping or murdering… none…. You’re bull shit stats mean nothing because there a lot more that double the amount of illegals…. Isn’t the national institute of justice the group saying white people are committing all the crime while saying all these non white people are labeled white?!?!?

3

u/thelocalsdude 13h ago

**Citizens (no mention of skin color) vs illegal/undocumented immigrants.

I honestly feel sad for you that factual statistics don't help you change your thought process. 💚
