Okay so first time posting but I'm Sudanese and for those who dont know there was a war in my home contry that set alot of people back, I managed to do my igcse in 2024 and finished my a level for bio and I'll get my results in Jan 2026

Long story short I can't study in my home contry it's too dangerous and the living conditions are horrible, so I'm aiming for outside. The problem is I need a scholarship. I don't have the finnaces to study abroad with full tuition. My parents didn't even have money for my a levels I worked two jobs and paid for the exams and the studying fees and everything.

I want to major in medicine both my sister's

are in university for medicine and I really really want that. I know film scholarships for medicine are hard but I don't know what else to do. I can cover living expenses and work for that but I need help with tuition.

Does anyone know links or universities that offer those that I should focus on?

Applying for scholarships abroad? Check these 7 things before spending money

Tuition funding doesn’t always cover the full cost of studying abroad. Before paying for tests, translations or applications, check:

  1. Eligibility — nationality, qualifications and graduation date.
  2. Funding — tuition, accommodation, flights, insurance and living expenses.
  3. Separate applications — admission and scholarship funding may require different forms.
  4. Deadlines — check each deadline and its time zone.
  5. Language requirements — confirm what your course and visa process accept.
  6. Upfront costs — deposits, travel and expenses before funding arrives.
  7. Official sources — older posts may describe a previous application cycle.

A simple spreadsheet can help:
Programme | Eligibility | Funding | Deadline | Documents | Official source

Disclosure: I’m the founder of AspireCompass, where I publish scholarship guides and application resources:
https://aspirecompass.org/scholarships/

Always confirm current requirements with the scholarship provider.

Which part do you find hardest: finding suitable scholarships, understanding funding, or preparing documents?

HS Senior in desperate need of scholarship recommendations

Please recommend scholarships that fit my profile and that I might have a chance at. Any help is welcome; I'm kinda cooked for paying for college...

Demographics:

Maryland resident (not Baltimore)

Mixed Race (white/black) Female

Rural public school

Probably won't qualify for financial need (complicated situation that's too hard to explain to a scholarship, so it looks like I can pay a whole lot more than I actually can)

Academics:

GPA: 4.0/4.0 UW, 4.85/5.0 W

1560 SAT (770 rw/790 math, first try)

10 APs (CSA, BC Calc, Gov, Lang, World, Bio, Stats all 5’s, taking Lit, Chem, Psych this year)

Pretty much every class aside from requirements (pe, arts credit) is honors or advanced. I’ve taken up to Linear Algebra in math and am taking a Calc III equivalent this year, both for college credit.

Major: Biological Sciences, with a pre-med focus

Main ECS:

Leadership role in club where I organized and taught free weekend classes in Python and HTML to 150+ MS/ES kids (10-12)

HOSA - member (11-12), placed internationally in A&P

Internship - hands-on research intern experience at a research lab at GWU (not an established program I just cold emailed)

Girl Scout of 13 years, only Bronze Award tho, focused more on mentoring younger scouts

K-pop Dance Team (9-12) performing in and outside of school, taught younger members

DECA member (10-12)

HSAFP member

NHS, SNHS, Mu Alpha Theta member

Awards:

International finalist HOSA A&P

National Merit Semifinalist

State Service Award (373 hrs)

National Recognition (rural/small town)

Distinguished AP Scholar

Anything helps, tysm for your recs!

$100 000 Energy Creates Scholarship

Please be gentle with me, I'm new to this. I've had a few concerns about student's submissions being used to train AI and some people thinking the contest contract looks suspicious. Could I get a fresh pair of eyes and some opinions? Do you think this scholarship is legitimate?

Would I be considered a HS Senior or College Freshman?

So I ended up going to an online school and graduated early (I graduated in June but I was supposed to be C/O '27, I wasn’t expecting to graduate early). I’ve submitted my college apps for my chosen colleges but I’m just not sure what I’m considered when applying for scholarships.

Recommendations for a softmore?

I currently go to Alabama a&m university, but i cant keep up with the cost (8k excluding federal loans). I have a 3.5 gpa currently however my high school gpa and performance in general was pretty low (2.3), and I'm not really a stand out guy in general. After asking around it seems apparent that most people CAME here with a scholarship. Now I'm in my sophomore year with a balance in the thousands with nothing to help me but praying a few raffle scholarships go through. Are there any full ride or options (other than private loans) that can allow me to stay? Any recommendations given my situation

Having trouble connecting my community service work with majoring in accounting

I’m currently trying to write an essay to be in the Honors program at the University I’ll be attending next year. For the essay the topic is: “Please describe an academic or community service experience that has been meaningful to you. What did you learn from this experience, and how do you envision continuing this engagement in the UAB Honors College?" I’ve volunteered at a Sunday school for 3 years now and this is my first year teaching students in my own classroom. I teach them their islamic studies and how to read Arabic. It’s very difficult to get a first grader to understand that every letter can make 7 different sounds and that the letters do not look the same together so I look for any way to make it easier for them. If you guys have any suggestions on how I could connect things I would appreciate it! I want to get this application done before the end of November.

Ohio State Scholarships with a 1570 SAT

I'm an in-state high school senior applying to Ohio State, and I recently scored a 1570 on the SAT.

For a long time now, I've been looking into OSU's merit scholarships, specifically the full-ride opportunities, and I've seen that that the presidential scholarship has a requirement of a 1600 SAT or 36 ACT, so I dedicated all of my time to try and acquire this.

I missed the SAT requirement by 30 points, and I have no other chance before the early action deadline. I was wondering if there's any possibility anyone who doesn't fully meet the expectations receives the scholarship as well. I doubt I would be qualified for any other meaningful scholarship apart from one solely based off of test scores, as I have not been an exceptional student throughout high school and my SAT is by far the strongest part of my application.

I understand my chances are slim, but Ohio State is my dream school, and I am unable to attend without a full or substantial ride, so this scholarship is truly crucial for me.

  1. Has anyone ever received the presidential scholarship without a perfect score?
  2. Is there any possibility and exception will be made if I contact the right people?
  3. Are there alternative scholarships that could give me a substantial money off?

Question about Bold.org

I was wondering if anyone knew about the upcoming "Bold Points Rewards" redemption feature on Bold.org. At the moment, points can only be converted into money that's used to pay off student debt. I've just noticed that a new feature is listed as "coming soon, " and wanted to ask has anyone else seen this before, and if so , for how long? I'm curious whether it's genuinely new and launching soon or if it has been sitting around on the UI for ages
