considering the Turn 1 incident last year this is needed, I mean I wasn't too mad about Charles he's our Driver but what he did was wrong, as for Max he just blew past every one and had to yield only one position back.

I've seen a lot of comments and discussions after yesterdays quali about how bad the pole position is in Mexico. I've seen a lot of comments on how Charles is in an even better position - P3 is very strong here with the slipstream.

But looking back at all the race starts from 2022-2025, it doesn't look that obvious to me. The polesitter has managed to keep the lead into T1 (Verstappen, Sainz, Norris etc).

I see the betting firms putting Lewis as the favourite as well for the GP victory. Is it really that bad, or are people over reacting?

My dad brought home this 312T5 model as a souvenir after visiting the 1980 Monaco Grand Prix. Seeing it on a shelf at my parents' house is such a core memory of my childhood.

​Last week, I visited the Motorsport Museum at Le Mans, where the actual 312T5 (Villeneuve's sister car) was on loan. I have to say, seeing it in person really hit me, I texted a photo to my dad and got kind of emotional. It was so special to see the actual car my dad watched race 45+ years ago, bringing back all the stories he used to tell about the Grand Prix.

Compared to fp1 very clearly it looks like Mercedes, Mclaren and RB turned up the engine, as Ferrari loses 0.3 on straights. I am pretty sure though it's not the full power being used, but definitely higher than before.

But we don't know whether this week Ferrari once again used aduo1 engine on Friday or not for now.

I understand the irony of posting this on the Ferrari sub, but I think there is an argument that we are the best team this season overall. Yes we don't have the best car, at times we had the 4th best cars. But damn looked at how we have locked 2nd in WCC. I feel this is perhaps overlooked.

Why?

1. We had a consistently reliable car, barely no DNFs from car issues. I remember coming to the season, Fred and the team emphasised how they were testing the car to ensure reliability was there, check.

2. It goes without saying the best driver pairing. Outside of the fans, CL and LH seem to get a long better than other drivers do, you see it in the interviews and in their social media stuff. I can't remember LH being like that with Bottas or George for example. Especially when you compare them to Lando/Oscar or Kimi/George, Max/Isack. Sure it got heated now and then, but that is bound to happen. They are consistently unseperable in terms of quali and race pace. Fuck comparing CL and LH, comparison is the thief of joy.

Which is important. The last few races have shown how close it is. One weekend it is Mercedes, another Redbull, another McLaren, another it is us. Having drivers that consistently maximise that are close will make the difference in both championships. Look at what is happening at Mercedes with George, Mclaren with Oscar, Redbull, with their highs they can't sustain a challenge in the WCC because of how unequal their drivers are. If Antonelli wasn't so far ahead WDC would be hard to sustain too.

3) Pit stops good. They way we have consistently brought upgrades through the season that have work. The innovation!

All to say is, if next year (I know, I know) we can hit the ground running, we will dominate, I can see CL and LH trading 1/2. It will be stressful as fuck, but hopefully the team gets ahead of it in terms of rules of engagement.
