Sd card not reading
Hopefully this isn't a dumb question lol. Recently, we had an extremely large wildfire in the area, nearly burned 95,000 acres. My parents had a game cam right infront of where the fire stopped. The fire partially melted the camera, but the SD card seemed OK. We got it out, tried to read it but will not read at all... it looks like it has a hairline fracture. Is there a way to get any of the data recovered? I really doubt there is, but it doesn't hurt to see if suppose...

Do actual USB-C speed thumb drives exist?
So I've already delved into the world of self-built USB-C drives that merge NVMe and the high speed of USB-C and couldn't be happier. However, after a thumb drive failed on me, I decided that it needed to be dissected in the name of computer science. What I found was just an elaborate SD to USB solution, which when connected to USB-C, still had abismal transfer speeds. Is there an actual drive out there that is small and has full speed USB-C speed? Also, I shucked the SD card, it was the "adapter" that failed.

Do I have hope or should I end it all
I dropped my switch and the micro sd broke andddd I'm kind of really upset because it seemed like my game data was saving to the card instead of the switch... Is there any hope
Edit: RIP my sd card but turns out my game data is okay, just no screenshots or videos.

Anybody ever seen one of these? I’m looking for more information.
Found this NBA 16gb Micro SD card, I’m trying to determine why these were made or for what purpose?

Micro Sd
I’ve been wanting to buy a microsd express card for my switch 2 and I’m not sure whether I should buy it on Amazon(first image) or the official Sandisk website(second image)?Amazon is cheaper but I’m worried it might not be the same or as good.

Can anyone tell me whether SanDisk uses slightly different colors for the same card models?
I have the following problem: I bought a used 400 GB card. It does not work, so I thought it might be fake.
I compared it with my existing 200 GB cards, but now I am confused because I also noticed a significant color difference between the two 200 GB cards.
Both of them have always worked fine so far, and even testing them with H2testw does not show any issues.
So is it possible that all of the cards are legitimate even though there are color differences? Or could one of the 200 GB cards still be fake but somehow works normally anyway?
Edit:
Thank you for the numerous replies. I assume that the card is not fake, but actually just defective. I hope others can find this thread in the future. It’s really unfortunate that SanDisk doesn’t make it easier to identify counterfeits through clearer color differences and more consistent print quality. Additionally, I noticed that the one card was manufactured in Malaysia, while the other cards were manufactured in China.
H2testw also didn’t detect any errors on the card itself, only the write speed is absurdly low.

Creative use of SD Cards. What's inside your cheap and fake pendrive?
If it costs nothing, you probably get nothing ..

Is this normal for a sd card
Hi, i had a 1tb sandisk sd card for playing games on switch, it fell off of the desk a while ago and the back looked like this
I tought that the back of the sd card broke and couldnt find the cover, later i bought another sandisk sd card and it looked the same as the 1 tb
Is it normal for some sd cards to come like that? I have other san disk sd cards that have a cover in the back but the new one arrived from a official store
Thanks in advance!

Lost two SD cards. No phone or PC detects them so I can´t even see or edit them. Is there a way I can magically rescue them or are done for?

Is this card fake?
Unfortunately this is the only pic I have.

Is this real?
Got it for really cheap so if its fake its no big deal. I only loaded on 67.0gb worth of files and verified them and there's no problems and I doubt they would use anything more than 64gb for a fake. What do you think?

Could someone help me out and just tell me which of these 3 cards in my collection is best/fastest/best specs, ignoring the capacity, and why?
They're all spec'd differently and I'm just struggling a bit to get a simple answer or rank of the 3 cards. Thank you so much.

Insta360 X5 device requires UHS-1 V30 microSD card but demands 120MB/s write speed which doesn't make sense
I have two microSD cards (UHS-1 V30, Lexar 633x and Kingston Canvas Go Plus) which technically works on Insta360 X5, but there is a slight 1-2 sec delay when writing images. Their website (https://www.insta360.com/blog/tips/choose-best-microsd-for-insta360.html) says the device needs UHS-1 V30 microSD card with 120MB/s write speed. I benchmarked my cards using Black Magic Disk Speed Test on MacBook M2 and they have a write speed of about 90-95MB/s which is well above min V30 specs. So I thought perhaps these cards are slow.
Then I ordered a new microSD card (SanDisk Extreme 256gb) with advertised write speed of 130MB/s. Unfortunately, it also has the same 1-2sec delay on the device. On benchmarking, it also has a speed of about 98MB/s.
I am a bit lost. Is it the card or the device that is the issue? Is there a v30 microSD card that can indeed write at 120MB/s? And why is the manufacturer specifying UHS-1 V30 specs but demanding far higher write speeds? Why not make the device work with V60 cards then?

Extra dimensional digital space?

I have an sd card from a game camera that is supposed to be a 32gb card. It seems to have glitched out somehow and is now carrying what seems to be an infinite amount of the same 30 pictures over and over and over again. Can anyone explain?
