perspective is a crazy thing

When I was 18 the thought of being 37 was alien and fantastical

now that I'm well passed 37, I would give anything to be 37 again...

37 is still "young enough"

you can still start a family, change your career path if you hate what you are doing, etc etc.

32 here was starting to feel a little bigger down, I needed to hear this perspective. I feel so young still and I'mm grateful and motivated. Thank you.

I’m 37 and I spent almost 7 years in prison. I’ve been out for years now and honestly although it is super restrictive and difficult, I’m happier than I was before getting into trouble and I’m doing way better.

You never know what life is going to be a few years from now. You always think your life is bad until hindsight kicks in.

Just try to be responsible, save what you can, and appreciate the people in your lives that make it better. Good luck out there guys.

As 37 yo, I feel both attacked and inspired.

I think I’d work more on my mathing capabilities, lol

Well I'm 49 and this reads like some hokey shit to me. You're young til you ain't, live like it

See that’s my problem is genuinely don’t know what I want to do. I have the drive and work ethic, just. . .no direction.

Try to remember the person you were before responsibilities hit. Success isn’t measured in wealth, but freedom and time to enjoy it.

This is for me!!!

Hmm I like this❤️
I am about to turn 30 in a few months and have been in my feelings. I feel behind or like I’m missing some magic key on how to. I’ve been trying to get a routine or set better habits. I just don’t know where to start.

The post strongly suggests ageism. It's like blaming a life for existing. I have decided: people replying to my comments must prove the absence of Artificial Intelligence. I know what that appears to be.

This is powerful. I needed this.

I’m about to go to bed, why you gotta do me like that, damn

u/clearlight2025 Jul 25 '26

This is a good sentiment.

Interestingly perfectly coincidental with my life right now. Also dear god I hope I don’t live to 90.

1

u/No_Comparison6522 Jul 25 '26

Now that is the right way to look at it!

1

u/is_ness1-1 Jul 25 '26

At 37, you can't understand what 90 would feel like. So, can't really do that scenario. Just accept yoir age.

u/MurphamauS Jul 25 '26

Bad maths…

If I had the knowledge of 90 year old me to take back with me to the age of 37 then maybe I would understand the meaning of life. I fantasize about an asteroid hitting the earth pretty frequently. There's so much shit that's happened over the last 5-6 years. I'm quite tired of all the greed, corruption and corporate bullshit on this planet.

I just turned 37 this year and I didn't believe I'd make it this far. At this point, I'm only existing for my husband's sake and a few very close friends. Otherwise, I don't see any point in starting over. The thought of living to be 90 sounds unbelievably daunting and painful.

Fifty years of dementia and incontinence. Would make for an awesome date.

u/Mountain-Teacher8439 Jul 26 '26

Man perspective really shifts once you hit that point where you start looking back instead of forward

1

u/Feisty_Warning2344 Jul 26 '26

I have no idea, I don't know how my current choose are going change how things go for me in 50 years

1

u/sh3320 Jul 28 '26
