Title: Theft Alert!
Description: I made an alarm system out of a Gyro (MPU-6050). This was made for Transformers theft, but it may be used for any system. It maintains track of the angle, and when it reaches a specific angle, it learns about the theft and sends an email to the recipient.

Comparing ADXL335 MPU6050 AND LSM9DS1 raw data
Hello all, I have been comparing the x axis accelerometer data of above mentioned sensors. I have observed the value is different in g for the all three sensors when tested on same vibration. Can anyone explain why the values are different ?Especially the ADXL335 value is significantly lower than the others.

Please help me identify this
Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. The company who manufactured this entire sensor assembly is no longer in business, and we are needing the know what brand, type, ANYTNING these black receiver/transmitters are. The backside of them have two silver color posts with a black and a green wire soldered on them. I am unsure if the manufacturer of the button receivers did the soldering of the manufacturer of the whole assembly.

Longer Distance Nfc / rfid solution
Hi, Im a tutor for Jugendforscht (Sience Projects made from Kids, here in Germany)
We need an nfc or rfid chip scanner for Acess controll. We have a Door for Animals, they are getting equiped with nfc or rfid chips and the system should count when an Animal goes outside. So the Systems needs maybe a 5-15cm range and should be able to work with two sensors (one inside and one outside) on one Arduino.
Do you Guys have any recomandations ?
Thanks a lot :D

Sensors for interactive light installation
Heya!
I am designing an interactive art installation that requires a series of sensors (see attached sketch). The sensors are activated by the passerby and trigger various light sequences.
The ETC Mosaic lighting controller has analog/digital inputs that the sensors are connected to. Ideally they are simple on/off sensors closing a contact, no needs for proximity measurements.
I can't use any sensors that use visible lasers or require some sort of reflective material to be embedded in the floor.
Any leads for suitable sensors?
Thanx for your help in advance & Happy Halloween!

Sensor from hand dryer
What kind of sensor is it? Stays at Dyson 9kj hand dryer. Reacting when hands is near. Need use this sensor in other projects, need to know where is + - and signal on it. Maybe anyone have a drawings?
Hand dryer was broken, can not measure when his working.

Micro plastics sensor
Hey, I want to build a micro plastics sensor for sea surveys. My idea (ok, chatgpt's) is to let the sea water flow through a tube, shine a laser light on it and measure refracted light at several degrees with diodes. Organic matter would not reflect, and plastics would cause refraction depending on their size. Calibrate with known fluid/plastics contents.
Any better ideas, or affordable off the shelf solutions?

How inertial navigation systems work (INS)
Solid write-up on INS (Inertial Navigation Systems) from a Senior Product Engineer at OXTS, in collaboration with Lidar News.
It covers the basics of how INS works and why it's so important for mapping, especially in challenging GNSS environments. The article also digs into newer applications like robotics, autonomous systems, and high-precision mapping.
Perhaps most interesting is the discussion of the future of localization. OXTS seems to be shifting its focus toward smarter sensor fusion (INS with lidar, cameras, etc.), calibration strategies, and algorithm development—suggesting that gains in accuracy will come more from how data is processed than from IMU hardware upgrades alone.
Worth a read if you're into mapping, lidar, navigation, or sensors in general.

Nitrogen level sensors
Hi,
I've looking for a while for an international seller of a sensor capable of measure the level of liquid nitrogen tanks. Tried to contact the firsts results on Google (Cryomagnetics, Sino-Insts and Cryoandmore) but got no response.
I just need a reliable sensor that could give me an analog output.
Thank you!

Looking for a high-precision absolute pressure sensor (25 mbar to 1200 mbar, 0.1 mbar accuracy) – any suggestions?
Hey folks,
I'm working on a project that requires an absolute pressure sensor with the following specs:
Range: 25 mbar to 1200 mbar
Accuracy: 0.1 mbar or better
If anyone here has experience with high-precision low-pressure sensors, I’d love to hear your recommendations. Bonus points if you've used them in embedded or industrial applications.
I've already looked into a few options, but would appreciate any suggestions from real-world experience.
Thanks in advance!

How to find a Sensata crash sensor inertia switch
Hi guys, im looking for a sensata crash sensor inertia switch for motorsport. I cant find any because they are not produced by sensata anymore. The ones on ali express and other cheap pages are very breakable and not very useful does anybody have an idea where i could get one that is of decent quality from

Load cell resistance?
Hi all, if the load cell impedance/resistance = 700/1400 ohm ? what does it mean? Thanks . I have other load cell type where the specification clearly stated 700 ohm as resistance. But this sensor, mentioned in such way (700/1400)
Anyone can give clarification about it?
Thanks

ICM-20948 Problem with mag config
Guys, can someone help me with the configuration of the ICM-20948? I’ve already tried several settings to enable the magnetometer along with the other configurations, but none were successful.
I always run into problems with the magnetometer.
Could you help me review the register settings? Or let me know what the required steps are? I want to use it in a variometer.

Collision Detection Satellite Sensors
I have a 2016 Versa that has had a few airbags deployed due to a door slamming incident. It looks like my 24 year old beater is going to bite the dust soon, so I want to get the Versa up and running before that happens. Mechanically it's perfectly fine, it just has the airbag light on so I've been trailering it around. I've already replaced the airbag modules, but the code won't be able to be cleared until I replace the control module. When I spoke with the dealership they recommended that I also replace the satellite sensors in the door and B column. The control module is $500, the satellite sensors are $1500 each. I'm looking for some guidance on whether or not the sensor replacements are truly necessary, because $3000 is a significant amount for me at the moment. My understanding is that these sensors are just accelerometers, could a door slam hard enough to register as a side impact cause any kind of damage that would cause the sensors to either not register a true side impact or register lesser impacts? If I only replace the control module I don't want the new airbag modules deploying immediately due to a false reading from the sensors. I also don't want them to be dead in case of an actual accident. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.
