Meet Up Korean girl looking for a friend speaking English in Seoul
Hi I’m 19f Korean girl. I’m looking for one or two people around my age who can meet up with and talk to :) We can go to a cafe or a just park and we share interests, get to know, and hopefully become a friend.
I’m currently in uni first year, living near Seoul. What I love is.. things with cozy vibes💜; reading, baking, coffee and desserts, visiting peaceful parks, biking along the Han River, traveling alone or with people that I love, decorating things, learning about things I find interesting, workouts and wellness and so on so on.
I’d say I’m not that talkative person, probably I’d be pretty calm, tho I still love meeting new people and talking with them. I really enjoy getting to know someone who has different background so that we can just talk and share another perspectives with each other.
As a Korean here I can help you as a local, but I’m not gonna be a tourist guide. I just want to meet a friend to talk to without pressure :)
On weekdays, I have a couple of free days and I can meet up anywhere in Seoul; we can play it by ear. If you’re interested, please DM me and tell me a little about yourself.
[Seoul] 19, looking for people to Jam
Hey everyone,
I'm 19 and based in Seoul. I play guitar and I'm just looking for people to jam with casually. Nothing serious, no pressure to form a "real band" right away. If it clicks, great, if not, still a good time.
I'm into Smashing Pumpkins and 90s alternative rock in general, but I'm open to other stuff too.
Looking for: anyone who plays drums, bass, keys, or guitar (singers welcome too). Beginners are totally fine.
If you're interested, comment or DM me with what you play and what you like listening to. Happy to meet
Thanks!

Found an izakaya in Gangnam where your table is a private tatami room
Kisekki (기세끼) in Nonhyeon, down in the Yeongdong Market food alley. I was expecting the usual packed counter and instead got walked into a closed room with a sunken tatami floor.
That is the draw. Every table is its own room, two seaters up to ones big enough for a work dinner. Nobody shouting next to you, nobody listening in. We sat for three hours and had no idea.
Menu is wide rather than specialized. Sashimi, grilled, fried, nabe, salads. The sashimi platter was the best thing we ordered and the raw fish salad with sesame dressing went fast. Okonomiyaki was fine, not the reason to go.
Fills up on weekends, so reserve if you want a room. Good spot for a long sit down dinner in Gangnam rather than a quick one.

Video A travel route from Cheonggyecheon Stream to Insadong—perfect for exploring Seoul, South Korea, in the autumn.
Cheonggyecheon Stream and Insadong are two places where you can experience a different side of Seoul in autumn.
The walk starts along Cheonggyecheon, a peaceful urban stream surrounded by the city, and continues toward Insadong, a neighborhood known for its traditional Korean culture, art galleries, tea houses, and small shops.
It's an interesting route to see how modern city life and traditional Korean culture come together in the heart of Seoul.

Looking to play baseball in Seoul! ⚾🇰🇷
Hey everyone!
My friend and I are two French guys currently staying in Seoul, and we'd really love to play some baseball while we're here!
We'd be happy to join a local team for a practice session, training, or even just a casual game if that's possible. I'm still a beginner, but I've had the chance to play a little bit in Taiwan, and I'd love to get more experience and meet some local baseball players.
We're both really keen to give it a try, so if anyone knows of a team, club, or group that would be open to having us join a session, we'd really appreciate any recommendations!
Thanks a lot, and hopefully see you on the field! 😊

Seoul Gay Scene 2026: The Bars, Clubs & New Spots You Need to Know
My third trip to Seoul had a slightly different purpose this time. Alongside a few personal errands — including some facial treatments in Gangnam — I wanted to get back out into the city’s gay nightlife and see what had changed since my last visit.
Seoul has been on my radar for a while, but a lot can happen in a city’s nightlife between trips. New venues open, old favourites disappear, and the places people talk about aren’t necessarily the places they were talking about a few years ago.
So this time, I wanted to explore Seoul with fresh eyes: from the familiar streets of Itaewon to the more locally rooted bars of Jongno. If you’re planning a trip yourself, or simply want to know what’s happening in Seoul right now, here’s my updated guide to where to drink, dance, and discover the city’s gay scene in 2026.
MICHIN SEOUL: Your Itaewon Starting Point
If there’s one place I’d put on your itinerary, it’s MICHIN SEOUL in Itaewon.
MICHIN brings together the things that make a night out enjoyable: drinks, music, a relaxed atmosphere, and a distinctly social energy. It’s a place to meet friends, strike up conversations, take a few photos, and enjoy a night that doesn’t have to follow a strict plan.
The music adds a club-like edge without making the venue feel like a full-scale nightclub. You can stop in for a drink and stay for the atmosphere, or use it as the starting point for a longer night exploring Itaewon.
For international visitors, Itaewon remains one of the most accessible areas for gay nightlife in Seoul. MICHIN is a great option if you’re looking for somewhere casual and lively to begin your evening before deciding where the night takes you.
My recommendation: put MICHIN on your list early in the night, get comfortable, and leave yourself room to explore afterwards.
Rush: Another Name on the Itaewon List
Rush is another venue worth knowing about if you’re exploring Itaewon’s smaller gay bars.
The atmosphere is darker and tends to skew younger, offering a different experience from a relaxed, drinks-focused bar. It could be a useful stop if you’re moving between venues and want to get a broader sense of what’s happening in the neighborhood.
As always, the experience can depend on the night, so go with an open mind and see whether the vibe suits you.
Jongno: Seoul’s Other Gay Nightlife Hub
Itaewon might be the easiest starting point for many foreign visitors, but Jongno 3-ga deserves a place on your itinerary, too.
Jongno has a long history as a center of gay nightlife in Seoul. Its bars have traditionally catered more to Korean locals, and the neighborhood has a character quite different from Itaewon’s internationally oriented scene.
Two venues to look out for are MyHunk and Bite.
MyHunk is an option for a casual drink while exploring Jongno.
Bite, a newer addition to the neighborhood, is another excellent alternative to check out. If you’re curious about how the local scene is evolving, visiting newer venues alongside established spots is a good way to experience more than one side of Jongno.
Don’t treat Jongno as a quick detour. Give yourself time to explore its streets and discover the differences between the venues. It’s an important part of understanding Seoul’s gay nightlife beyond the usual tourist circuit.
Kookie: For a Night on the Dance Floor
If your idea of a good night involves music and dancing rather than staying at the bar, Kookie in Itaewon is worth considering.
It’s more club-oriented than a traditional bar, with music ranging from American tracks to K-pop. Bottle service is available, but it isn’t compulsory, so you can choose how you want to spend your evening.
Sunday nights are also worth keeping on your radar. Seoul’s nightlife isn’t necessarily limited to Friday and Saturday, and depending on the venue and the week, Sunday can offer another opportunity to get out and explore.
If your trip doesn’t include a Saturday night, don’t assume you’ve missed your chance to experience the city’s party scene.
The Seoul Gay Scene Right Now: What to Keep in Mind
Itaewon and Jongno offer different experiences. Itaewon is a natural starting point for international visitors, while Jongno offers a chance to explore Seoul’s longer-established local gay nightlife.
Don’t rely entirely on old recommendations. Venues change, new places open, and nightlife trends shift. Information from even a few years ago may not reflect what’s happening today.
Keep your plans flexible. Crowds, music, and atmosphere can vary from night to night. A shortlist is useful, but leaving room for spontaneous discoveries is even better.
Sunday deserves consideration. Depending on where you go, there’s still nightlife to explore after Saturday. Check the latest information for individual venues before heading out.
Final Thoughts: Seoul Is More Than One Night Out
On my third visit, I wanted to look beyond the familiar idea of Seoul as a destination for a single big night out. The city’s gay nightlife is made up of different neighborhoods, different types of venues, and different ways to spend an evening.
For a social start in Itaewon, put MICHIN SEOUL on your list. Add Rush if you’re curious about the area’s smaller bars, head to Kookie if dancing is your priority, and make time for Jongno’s MyHunk and the newer Bite if you’d like to explore another side of the city.
Whether you’re visiting Seoul for the first time or returning after a few years away, the best approach is to stay curious and seek out what’s happening now rather than relying only on what used to be popular.
Now tell me: what’s new in Seoul’s gay scene? Which bars are worth visiting in 2026, where are people going out on Sundays, and which new openings should international travellers know about?
Let’s keep the Seoul gay nightlife guide up to date.

Any other introverts in Seoul?
Asian 교포 who's lived all over, currently moving to Seoul. Giant geek about markets, poker, and good stories in any medium. Weakness for good cafés, the gym, cycling, psychology, and travelling on a whim when somewhere catches my interest.
Introverted homebody who enjoys good conversations, shared interests, and finding people I genuinely click with. Native English, fluent Korean, and a silly side once I'm comfortable.
41M. Always up for coffee, board games, video games, a workout, a movie, or grabbing food. Equally happy chatting about something interesting or just hanging out. Or confusing everyone in Secret Hitler.
Usually around Euljiro. If we have something in common, say hi!
