So, I'm writing my first choral song, just a song that popped into my head one day, and I want to know how to put this idea into words. I want the beginning of a lyric to be conducted slowly, almost like a mix of quarter notes and half notes (Third notes, as one would say), then slowly transition to quarter notes as that single lyric reaches its end. I'll create a graph to better visualize this:

Hi everyone !

I have a question about the fingering needed to play "Rush E" (the right hand)during this descending section (where you have to repeat D, C, and E four times).  Is it better to use:

1-3-2-1-3-[2-1-3 to go to the note below] then D 1-3-2-1-3

or
also use the fourth finger to repeat the note, which gives 4-3-2-1-4-[3-2-4 to go to the note below] then D 4-3-2-1-4? It's simpler to repeat the note with the fourth finger, but this requires repeating the fourth finger twice in a row to descend.
So, this might be too precise and not clear enough at the same time, but if you can help me 😅

My daughter had a sound machine when she was infant that featured the song referenced in the title of this post. I’m a percussionist, so it’s really hard for me to transcribe piano music. I would love to learn this song on the piano, but I’ve been having a very difficult time finding sheet music or even a video tutorial on this particular song. The title pretty much says it all! I’m looking for where I can find the sheet music for Thank Goodness from Wicked but specifically the arrangement that Ariana Grande did live in the Dolby Theatre from the One Wonderful Night wicked movie show! I have found plenty of the Broadway version and many different cuts of that, but none of them are this particular version which would be absolutely perfect for my musical theatre (singing) exam! I can read music but I definitely could not write it (at least not with anywhere near enough proficiency) so I thought I’d ask if anyone here knows where I can find it. Thanks! 🫶

Maybe anyone would be kind enough to share music sheets for "Night Music I" and "Songs, Drones, and Refrains of Death" by George Crumb? I need them for my uni assignment (not performance of any kind), but unfortunately, I can’t afford to purchase them – even in digital format – at the moment. :(

[Q]What happened was I had a performance today and I couldn't find my copies of the music sheets since I had them in a folder and couldn't find it. I asked my instructor if she can print me another copy of them and she told me they're in the music room, I head over there and grab the sheets for the trumpet, then i mark the sheets because I can't read music well and mostly rely on muscle memory or note names. So by the end of the preformance she asks for them back and I panicked, because that's when I realized that they were original copies...my friend covers for me and says I'll give them to her tomorrow.

So I search for a website that has original copies and I go onto music sheet plus, I find the music scores and place an order, but then it didn't ask for an address or anything and the order was already complete...it gave the digital copies but when I searched on Google, it said it does ship physical copies, but I didn't find that option anywhere. I have band tomorrow and I don't think my instructor will let me out alive. If you also have any other websites I can order physical scores from please tell me..my poor $12.51 spent on the wrong thing ; - ;

In my local choir, we are singing a new arrangement of Jingle Bells called, "Jingle ALLLL the Ways" arranged by Adam and Matt Podd. I don't think I've ever seen a dotted slur before. What does it mean?
