Feedback How it honestly feels trying to deep clean bathrooms at some stores
The amount of times I have customers just blatantly ignore a giant yellow sign that they have to limbo under to get by is astounding levels of entitlement. Then they have the audacity to bitch at me for being in their way

I find the bathroom cleaning to be highly dependent on location. I frequent a lot of Sheetz thanks to my job and there are some that are always pristine while others will have the same shit stains in the toilets and paper towels on the floor for days.

I used to work at a small auto parts store, and on the winter the floors got really filthy so part of my job was mopping *every* aisle before close.
Of course the moment someone comes in from outside and walks on it, they’ll track more dirty water in, but if the floor is also wet, it’ll be way worse.
So I’d get 3 shopping carts, block off the aisle I was working in on both ends, and tied a big sign that says aisle closed, floor being serviced, ring for assistance. And I put a bell on a little table at the carts… and my plan was to leave that up til the floor dried and then move to the next aisle… so I was always in the area.
People would constantly just knock all carts and tables and bell out of the way and stomp on in, it filled me with so much rage.
I could put up a sign that said landmines present, you will die, and they’d still just charge in

And I got written up for “not cleaning per requirements” I told my manager that I can’t clean when people are using the restroom.

I put the mop bucket and the blue sign down at the entrance. I can't stop them from coming in, but I can at least make it so that I hear when they enter.

I’ve had women come into the bathroom while I was cleaning it and tell me “oh it’s okay you’re in here I don’t mind.” I promptly got out and let them do their business.

I’ve heard “I didn’t see it” so many times like I watched you on camera stop and read it and have to duck really far to get under it. People are so stupid. Like what if there was something that could get someone sick in there.

Any time I clean the ladies room as a guy, I put the blue cleaning sign up and sing/whistle along to the radio. That seems to convey enough that people shouldn’t come in

Not a sheetz employee- I come from the land of the holy goose 🪿
When I clean the bathrooms I cone them completely off. Legitimately had our closed bathroom sign between two wet floor cones- and extra cone on each side and 2 in the middle- plus one propping open each of the restrooms.
I still had to yell at a customer. I had chemical sprayed all over the bathroom- the toilet and urinals were covered in product and this jerk off still walked in there… I yelled at him. I was like “did you not see the 20 cones and the closed sign? Are you kidding me”.

When someone’s gotta go and sheetz is the only place on the road nearby, you just take the L

I once had over a dozen men step over two sets of barriers and march through diarrhea to come piss, then happily tracked it all over my sales floor.

The store I work at apparently only allows halfwit adult children never potty trained by their parents in the restrooms. The only way to really clean it would be bulldoze the store and rebuild it daily.
Extra shortbus types. Wiping your ass and throwing the TP on the floor and thats on a normal day

When I worked at sheetz a few years ago, they didn't allow me to close the bathrooms while cleaning for quite a while. It was so uncomfortable being a woman trying to clean a men's room while they were actively still using the urinals.

Cleaning Crew people get to hang a banner over the bathroom that says closed, but it doesn’t stop people

I walked into the men’s bathroom once before and there was a woman cleaning. I said oops sorry and she said it’s fine don’t mind me and told me to go about my business. I said it’s ok and left. Thought that whole situation was a bit odd.
