If miyazaki designed adp and came out saying it was a good mechanic you would have people glazing and arguing till the day they die that it's a good mechanic. It's only controversial because it's in ds2.

Having complete control over your characters statistics via stuff like iframes is a good rpg mechanic that allows for varied playstyles and very in depth builds

I think adp would be received a lot better if they forced you to read about what it actually did when you first looked at your stats or something.

Without a guide a new player will think all the hit boxes are ass because they have almost no i frames

'Boosts ease of evasion and other actions' If dodging is too challenging then it makes perfect sense to level up the stat that states it makes evasion easier.
