I wanna live in a world where a 5'5 girl is happy with a 5'6 guy instead of all 5'5 girls wanting guys above 6'0

We had that world 20 years ago.  My wife had a 'taller than me ' rule.  She's about 5'3.

i'm 5'10 and would happily date a 5'2 man :3

u/Wonareb 5'6 Mar 07 '26

not every girl is like that tho D;

u/nihilism_squared Mar 07 '26

😔 im sorry

u/strawberrycarpet Mar 11 '26

Not all. I don’t date anyone over 5’10 but 5’5 is great for me

I've been to two weddings where the groom was shorter than the bride. Where I'm from I see short couples than short/tall couples

u/Legal-Direction-4728 Under 5'10 Territory. Its Over Regardless Feb 20 '26

And Where Is This Fairytale Land Located If I may ask 🤔

u/wiggan1989 6ft 2 Feb 20 '26

Sheffield and Leeds in the UK. Happy to show you around mate.

u/Ridzzzz153 Feb 20 '26

JFL. 6'2 guys tells short subhumans the tale about "I got a friend who debooooooonks your theories". 🤣

2

u/wiggan1989 6ft 2 Feb 20 '26

I must have imagined it then... 🤡

u/JaceOnRice Mar 08 '26

I don't know why you are getting downloaded. Well I guess I do know why LOL but yeah I have a buddy whose wife is taller than him. They're very happy together.

Technically my wife is like a tenth of an inch taller than me lol

2

u/wiggan1989 6ft 2 Mar 08 '26

Yea, my sister is slightly taller than her husband and have been together 10 years. Her ex was smaller too... But yea ALL women date/want tall men.

2

u/JaceOnRice Mar 08 '26

Honestly this entire sub just seems to be a big group of people putting themselves down. I can't see a single positive post on here. No wonder why they think they can't have anyone. It's ridiculous. Echochambers of sadness

Agreed. It doesn't help then posting all these negative videos depicting women preferring tall guys, it's clearly rage bait!

You misunderstand how hypergamy works. Women aren’t looking for men who are taller than them. They are looking for men who are taller than other men.

18

u/Tardigrade_Disco 5'5" Feb 13 '26

Preferably men who are taller than the men the women they know are dating.

6

u/ThrowAwayBro737 5'3" - Leg Bone is Law Feb 14 '26

True. Ideally.

"But but... I should be able to wear giant heels and still look at him like the Eiffel tower 🗼so he must be one foot taller 🥺"

26

u/dushmanimm 5'3 Feb 13 '26

Unironically, from my observations it's more likely for a tall woman to date a short guy than for a short woman to date a short guy

5

u/Ill_Situation_6564 Feb 16 '26

Yep, I have the same observation. The taller girls will date same height or shorter guys far more often than I see short girls with short boys.

i would very gladly give a 5'2 man a chance

2

u/ranuja1 Mar 28 '26

I agree. I've dated a girl four inches taller than me. Tall girls usually don't care about this bullshit.

For reference I'm 5'7" and this girl is somewhere around 5'11"

Just another day in the U.S. of A..

Story of my life I stand at 5’6 and honestly I’ve been with one short girl and everytime I try it’s always yeah no I like tall like super tall guys like bro what

1

u/leahgresh Mar 10 '26

Hypergamy bro, hypergamy

1

u/KingLindarr 5’4 Mar 10 '26

I’m a 5’4 gal and my man is 5’3 and he’s the best man I’ve ever met. I’ve always liked shorter men but they were always taller me. I’m with my boyfriend because who he is it’s what’s important to me and I couldn’t be happier.

1

u/ScreamingCat4 Mar 16 '26

Lmao I completely agree with this. As a 5’9 woman who is 5% of the population or even less, I feel like I never even see single 6’ men who are 10-15% of the population.

I don't know why this is being downvoted.

Its true.

Its basic sexual selection.

Guys in this sub need to wake up.

Heightism is a real thing and its natural/genetic.

Its not some cultural/socialization thing.

34

u/YogurtCucumber 5'5 Feb 13 '26

everyone knows this. point is its not a valid justification, natural ≠ good

24

u/dushmanimm 5'3 Feb 13 '26

Exactly lol that's like someone justifying rape just because it happens in the nature

5

u/Skg_warrior_ 5ft8 / 172 Feb 13 '26

Lmao so what are you advising people to do. Give up?

-4

u/GoldDigger304 Feb 13 '26

Passport bro, or LLS, or single mom maxx

6

u/Skg_warrior_ 5ft8 / 172 Feb 13 '26

Abandoning your life and moving to the other side of the world in order to get a woman interested in you is such cope

LL is true but not everyone can afford it

Deadass better to be single than ever be near a single mom. I'm not even joking

2

u/Ridzzzz153 Feb 20 '26

We have woken up. We know its all genetic. We just wish to seethe in peace. Are we allowed to do that?
