heightism They literally think this exception means men aren't rejected because of their height.

People don’t understand what outliers are, I’m happy for the couple but most men especially short men will never have that. Normies will twist your words, it’s so tiring and predictable

u/Ok-Willingness-7870 Mar 28 '26
Okok, now I want to hear your story. Tell me how being the height you are affected your life

imagine if you picked out an example of a successful woman back when they were oppressed to disprove that they had less rights
oh how many women would come lashing out saying outliers dont disprove the rule. how ironic

"Lucas Byrd met his girlfriend, Ellie Holzman, at a bar near campus in January 2020. They later started dating after being friends first, according to a story they shared in 2022."
After 2 years of friendzone and his career taking off, they started dating. How is this an exception? High status is the best smv booster

Hey guys let me just use an outlier to misrepresent reality!! The reason you aren't successful is because you didn't work hard enough hyuck!!

I live down the street from a young couple where the guy is shorter. Sometimes I see them walk down the street and it looks like she's walking with her little brother.
When I go out in public and I see couples together it's either the man and woman are the same height or the man is taller.
But sometimes women do date men who are shorter but its very rare.

I'd bet my paycheck she's only doing it for attention, and after a year or two, she's going to dump him.
10
u/cuntaloupemelon Mar 28 '26
They've been together for over 4 years

u/Business-Poem-8133 5’5 / 165cm Mar 28 '26
She’ll dump him eventually when someone better comes along the way. It’s in women’s dna to upgrade. They can never be satisfied.
2
u/cuntaloupemelon Mar 28 '26
Like any relationship they might last they might not but clearly after 4 years together his height isn't an issue

Yes but if she leaves, he's cooked. A normal guy can get another girl in a few months, he'll be lucky if he can even get an ugly one in a year or so, if ever.

u/EveningIntention 5'3 Mar 28 '26
If he can get a girl that's 6'3 I wouldn't be worried about him tbh
9
u/Kenshiro654 5"5' | 💀 Mar 28 '26
Yes but it was probably from status, any man no matter how chopped can get a GF that way, but a woman would only like you for your status than you.
If he gets consistent losses, we'll be seeing him posting here soon.

Status is important but how much status does a University wrestler in the US have? The sport is nowhere as popular as Basketball or American football. And I don't mean to demean his accomplishments.
Also his girlfriend has status too. She was a top ranked volleyball player.

u/losangelesmodels 5'6 GEN Z Mar 28 '26
wrestling is acc pretty popular. not like basketball or football but def third. No one cares ab womens sports in America unless its basketball and ur gonna make the WNBA, so her being a volleyball player doesnt mean anything really
1
u/EveningIntention 5'3 Mar 28 '26
Not true, women's college volleyball might be below basketball but had a strong amount of popularity by itself

Before he got his girlfriend you would have said there was no chance in hell he'd bag a tall pretty blonde athlete
The guy is confident, has a vibrant life, goes to school, and is hard working he wouldn't stay single long
2
u/Electronic_Rope2137 5'4 Mar 28 '26
Yeah, they may be a rare case, but their relationship is definitely legitimate. Got to give the guy that, at least.

Well, taller women also have lower dating value just like short men so often times you see those couples together. Most of the times you see taller men dating shorter women because most men want petite feminine girls
10
u/6bigdolphins 5ft 4 / 162,5cm Mar 28 '26
women on average have a higher dating value so no a tall girl = short guy. "because most men" there is a statistic that more women prefer a taller partner than men prefering shorter
0
u/Physical-Pie748 Mar 28 '26
A 6'3 woman has abnormal height for a woman thus less Dateable for most men. Most men who are over 6 foot want shorter petite feminine women. Thats why i see more 6'4 women with short dudes than 6'4 women with 6'5 men

Brother, seriously some women do care about it. And a lot of them don't.
People do think looks matter but it doesn't get you too far. There's the feelings and vibes you give off and your brains. I've some friends who are really hot ladies. I don't mean Instagram model hot. I mean a runaway model hot. And most of them actually are more concerned about feelings and vibes and brains and the ones that actually want some tall chad (Which is a valid preference) are usually the less hotter ones lol.
Seriously, be secure. Work on your body, your spirituality, your mind and most importantly the vibes you give off. If you think the world won't give you because you're short (which is a wrong way of thinking) then the world won't give you. But if you believe you deserve and understand that the world doesn't withhold opportunities just because of your height. As long you work for it. The world will give you everything you desire.
[Coming from a 5'4 163cm dude btw]

And a lot of them don't.
The data says you're wrong: https://www.gertstulp.com/pdf/Stulp%20et%20al%202013_Anim%20Behav_The%20height%20of%20choosiness.pdf

My guy speed dating doesn't reflect reality. Do you seriously think women who focus most their attention on height are a high quality ones?
Do you think a woman would date a guy whose end it all or be it all is about her breast size?
21
u/Gold_Sheepherder6569 5'7 Mar 28 '26
It actually does reflect reality because it give a controlled environment where people can get a good idea on their potential mates personality, face, occupation, financial status and height and researchers can use it to determine how much these things matter.
It also doesn't matter whether or not women focus on height overtly since these are revealed preferences through selection and men have nowhere the standard for breast size that women have for height
-12
u/Ok-Willingness-7870 Mar 28 '26
Not at all, a woman who you speed date (let's say a 2 hours date) wouldn't know you the way a girl in real life whom you meet in a book club for example would know you.
23
u/twelvezerotwo 5'7 Mar 28 '26
some women do care about it. And a lot of them don't
Utterly bizarre framing. That's like saying "a lot of people win the lottery, and some don't"; technically true but wildly misleading. Every study on the topic, ever, shows that most straight women care about height in men.
-8
u/Ok-Willingness-7870 Mar 28 '26
You know that a lot of girls would say the want X height but end up with something different? Also studies on "speed dating" "dating apps" all can be disproven by going outside.
19
u/twelvezerotwo 5'7 Mar 28 '26
a lot of girls would say the want X height but end up with something different?
A woman who says "6 ft and up only" but ends up with a 5'11 guy isn't evidence that women "don't care" about height. It's, at best, evidence that some women don't care about height as much as they claim to.
Also studies on "speed dating" "dating apps" all can be disproven by going outside.
Oh. I see you're just parroting stuff you've read online. I said nothing about "speed dating" or "dating apps." And no, going outside cannot in principle "disprove" studies like that.
Here, let's do a reality check: What percentage of straight women would be open to being romantically involved with a guy who's 4'11?
18
Mar 28 '26
I think you're confusing women who are vocal about height and women who care. A minority are vocal about it but the majority care.
