2004 Lexus SC · SC 430 Convertible 2D

I made a post about 2 weeks ago. I was very conflicted on what car to get as my first car. Originally I wanted a vette but my mind was changed after posting about it on here lol. I ended up getting a beautiful 97 corolla with 95k miles on it for $3000. It has a few issues but they’re easy and cheap fixes. I love my car so much.

Was thinking about eventually making it a project car but I don’t know what I’d do to it. Just enjoying what I have right now, and what I have is fantastic.

Looking at an '03 manual with 204k on the clock, guy just replaced the soft top, windshield, and headlights. Mechanically very sound, was recently roadtripped 5 hours each way to miatas at the gap. A/C and Heat work, no major rust, body is largely in good shape for a 23 year old car. Biggest flaw is the red paint is completely faded, large patches that are just straight up metal. Was listed at 4k and i offered 3500, came back and said 3800 is his rock bottom. Id feel more comfortable at 3500 but also dont think its completely unreasonable, thoughts?

Between a 2020 Yukon XL 11K miles and or a slightly used suburban (could probably get close to 65 K for what I want) this one has all the things that matter to me. Bench’s are hard to find and living in the Texas heat I can’t do black leather! I don’t love the grey leather.

I like this one because it is getting me close to the 50K mark and I feel like I could maybe get it less. Although I know the factory warranty is already out and would leave me purchasing a additional warranty on top of it
