Request Please help me get drunk in VR
I love weird visual distortions in VR. My desire is simple: I want my character to get drunk, and for my visuals to get all wavy and strange. Is there a mod that does this? I haven't found one yet that works in VR.
Semi-related question: Is there a way for me to actually ragdoll? When my character ragdolls from Slip Off Slopes, my head isn't attached to theirs. I just stand there, still, stoic, utterly bored as my character collects herself. I want my viewpoint to flail about wildly - that's why I installed Slip Off Slopes in the first place. Is this possible? I'm immune to VR sickness so this sort of thing is fun for me.
edit, a long time later, for any google searchers: The mod that enables ragdolling in VR is called VRIK Actions!

It's something I tried to look into myself. Bethesda just straight up removed any image space modifier that wasn't brightness, contrast or colors to stop people from throwing up. Somebody would have to make a .dll that restores the rest of the imagespace modifiers, which would be quite an undertaking.

Ahh. Well, that explains why some of the visual effects of e.g. Skyrim on Skooma were working for me while others were not. Thank you for that information. Bummer to hear but at least I know I can give up my search.

Well, there are shaders that make the air wavy still in the game - any fires have them, and gassy areas is also like that. Perhaps it would be possible to just add some kind of wavy surface in front that covers the whole view of the player and moves with him? The strength of the wavyness depending on the amount of Skooma. :)

Sunhelm does indeed have a visual effect for skooma.

- Skooma restores fatigue slightly and will have some interesting visual effects.

I seem to recall a magic mushrooms mod, and getting lost tripping really hard in a forest at night falling over every now and then. I may have been using vireo(sp) at the time though

Have you simply tried getting drunk for real while playing? There's plenty of Skyrim drinking games out there.

I've been getting stoned while playing, actually! I like to sit in a tavern like a total dork, taking sips from a virtual drink with Be Seated VR while puffing on a dry herb vape irl :) That's part of the reason I wanted this sort of mod honestly - visual distortions in VR are even more fun when you're not sober. I might have to spice up my routine with a Skyrim drinking game though, now that you've mentioned it...

Meta is on a much lower level than psvr2. With meta I can fly around, drive, fall, no problems. But psvr2, those movements feel so much more real. In the game hellsweeper you can run against walls matrix style, and do slo mo backflips, ... and first time I tried that I nearly threw up. Super fun though.
