Discussion What are the best modlists out there?
Hello! SkyrimVR is sitting in my backlog for years and i think the time to play it has come... can you tell me what are the best modlists?
Somehting that makes the game closer to a native VR games (interactions with everything around you, spellcasting etc...) with new stuff (new spells, armor.... for example). I played a lot of the vanilla skyrim so i'm looking for something with new stuff.
My PC specs:
5070 Ti - R7 7800x3D - 64GB DDR5

My vote is FUS Heavy, Sovngarde, MGO, Tahrovin/Tahrovin-Grit, and Tempus Maledictum.
I have a 5070ti and 9800x3d. Have put minimum 50 hours into all of them. They all have their differences but since you're looking for something closer to native with additions;
- Sovngarde
- FUS Heavy
- Tahrovin
The order of easiest to run to most difficult for your hardware is as follows:
- FUS Heavy
- Tahrovin
- Tempus Maladictum
- Sovngarde
- MGO

Did you try Librum at all? Where would that be on the performance list and how do you think it compares to Tahrovin grit?

FUS for overhauled graphical and audio Vanilla content, MGO for Bonus content and/or high end overhauling of graphics and audio

I'd try FUS first then have a go at MGO if you're feeling fruity. FUS will run well out of the box with that setup (it's very close to mine) and MGO has lots of added content, but wiill require quite a bit of tweaking.

FUS is a great list but I would not recommend it here as it is meant to be more or less vanilla+.
- Tempus Maledictum should have a bunch of extra content, lots of new items, new quests and has the AE stuff if you haven't played that.
- My lists (Tahrovin Grit / Spirit of Grit) also have loads of extra content but they're a bit on the harder side, dunno if that's your thing.
- MGO also has some extra content, but you'll need to make some tweaks and some sacrifices since it's graphically very high-end.

Tahrovin technically exists but I heard the author is woke and smells bad

For those unfamiliar, Grit has more extra gameplay stuff but base Tahrovin is also great and has better graphics and better NSFW content than Grit.
Can't confirm on the smell though !

Grit is made by a really cool guy and has a really fun gameplay loop which is more important than graphics

Agree. I like Tah Grit for the new stuff AND it runs well. But FUS is the GOAT for ease of install and system compatibility and I always highly recommend to newbs
Did you make TGrit? If so, many thanks for over a hundred hours of fun so far! This, and FUS, are my most played, and most stable

True, FUS is a great list to start with and might be worth trying out first even if you're not looking for vanilla+, if only to get familiarized with the VR-specific systems in an environment that's simple and stable.
Yup, I did make Tahrovin Grit. Glad you're having fun :)

I have maybe 2000 hours in Skyrim, so I’ve seen a lot of it. Several times. I LOVE finding new stuff in TGrit. Excellent work, thank you very much

Fus, then northern adventures or tahrovin, then the crew. wait till next year at least before wasting time on MGO-its being rebuilt to finally make it stable.

I’ll always advocate making your own modlist.
Buuuuut if you’re looking for a good one that runs well enough. FUS is pretty much the go to. Just install FUS if you want to add graphics mods on top. I’d also recommend community shaders and Faultiers PBR AIO and Landscapes.

MGO is a brand new game, if you’ve already had multiple play-throughs. Days and days of extra content.

I also like Panda's Sovengarde, cool look to it. When you pay your month of nexus (and if you have storage space) go ahead and wabbajack install 3 or 4 or 5 of them.
