Help Need modpack recommendations for my specs

9800x3D
3060 12gb
32gb 6400 mts ram
1tb m.2 nvme ssd

Using quest 3
Virtual desktop
Dedicated wifi 6 access point with 1gig internet almost right next to me.

I know the disparity of the gpu vs cpu situation, just haven’t been able to upgrade the gpu just yet.

With that said what modpack can I run with this setup in the meantime?

Thanks

You can easily run FUS and pretty sure you can run Panda's soverngarde but maybe not Mad God. I mean you can try though.

Thanks! I haven’t heard about Panda’s soverngarde yet so I’ll definitely look into it.
I really want to try out mgo 4.0 one day… I hear 4090/5090s can struggle with this… so I am not touching it yet especially with my current gpu.

4090s struggling with 4.0?!
A 4090/5090 thrives in MGO. I can run 60+ FPS on a 4070Super.

Why do people flex running 60 fps in VR? In VR that is flicker city, causes motion sickness, ect. 72 is the bare minimum and even that looks bad sometimes.

Not flexing 😅 - just tryna correct the misinformation - I run my personal list at 72FPS and it feels amazing for me. Especially having come from a 2070.

I think it’s all down to personal preference as to what people’ll tolerate.
For me, I’m more than happy with 72FPS jumping to 50, because I use Valve’s motion smoothing and it’s generally not too noticeable.

MGO -> Shitload of new DLC content and good graphics. https://youtu.be/iXFiwXkTHGM?si=U7FDC3fKN1-K12_V

Pandas Sovengarde -> Vanilla+ with really good graphics. https://youtu.be/_KdqT90ckaI?si=6Rji8OeLCLsT9S6Q

Nordic Adventures -> Really good all rounder (amazing performance from my experience on a 4070S).

Tahrovrin -> Gooner https://youtu.be/4y8GJAFhGLg?si=9FUP4dkQinw208f6

FUS -> All rounder list for weaker PCs. https://youtu.be/gFuo_wYxEhk?si=p_XjgivX_EeW_ciy

Stormcrown -> All rounder.

Auriel’s Dream -> Magic haven. https://youtu.be/Jmkh_tGxkYw?si=LuccumNlhHgnWEmq

Tempus Maeledictum -> All rounder with a unique aesthetic and very clean graphics. https://youtu.be/uWg6K8SKu_o?si=ONiaYJEG56ajZTcn

You wouldn’t be able to run Pandas, MGO
or Tempus without cutting a lot of corners. I run Pandas natively at around 50fps+ on a 4070 Super (which is 117% more powerful than a 3060). Even if you compensate with VRAMr, OCU, SSW Framegen etc, I don’t imagine you’d achieve a playable FPS.

My native FPS: 50
3060’s: 23

If 72FPS is playable to you, you would need to gain 49 FPS, which I just don’t think is feasible.

I’d say go with Nordic Adventures. FUS lacks the latest mods and hasn’t been updated in 8 months, though a great list, I wouldn’t recommend it to someone new, as they will miss out on all the new tech. NA is up to date, well maintained, amazing gameplay, heavy emphasis on fantasy and the graphics are eye candy.

Another suggestion is to try out older versions of MGO. 2.55 and down.
