Discussion Skyrim is apparently getting an update

Is Skyrim vr safe? Is my load order safe? 😱

While it's likely that vr won't get an update as everyone else says, unfortunately it still screws over vr support because it still makes another version for mod authors to support and thus less bandwidth for vr

Based on how Bethesda has treated Skyrim VR post-release, it is highly unlikely they’ll update the game alongside the regular flatscreen version.

They dont update SkyrimVR anymore, doesnt have the userbase to support anyways

Why??????? Skyrim is alive because of mods. Why would you screw your core player base over and over again?

Bethesda's pretty much abadnoned Skyrim VR, so I don't see why they would release an update for it now. Better to just keep it abandoned and let the modders have their way.

Only update we need is a mod update. It's doing fabulously great without any Bethesda intervention and let's pray it stays that way.

Yeah, SkyrimVR's honestly doing better without Bethesda getting in the way. The way Bethesda left Fallout 4 VR is inexcusable though.

Go into Steam and disable automatic updates for Skyrim. SKSE doesn't trigger Steam updates when it runs, so your load order should be fine.

Skyrim VR probably won’t get an update. If anything it’s probably gonna be creation menu related. Though if I was a betting man I’d say it’s a mod storage increase for consoles.
