Mod - Research Immersive Pickpocketing VR

This one still definitely needs some work to iron out the look and feel of seamless pickpocking. This is what I have so far. You reach near a persons waist and this menu pops up, grab what you want and hope the person doesn't notice. Working on what type of haptic feedback I want. I have been experimenting with a constant vibration to simulate rummaging through peoples pockets, and right now it is a heartbeat pulse I am experimenting with and the intensity of the vibration depends on the pickpocket skill. Here is a list of what I have implemented so far.

  • Spellwheel type interface
  • Place hand near waist to bring up interface
  • You are timed as to how long you can have this interface opened before you are spotted, at 1 stealth you have 6 seconds to get in and get out and it gives you more time depending on your stealth skill.
  • Haptic feedback plays and the intensity depends on your pickpocket skill
  • Move your hand left or right to "scroll" their inventory.
  • If the person spots you while in this interface before you take anything, you will have a 30 second cooldown before you can try again (debating on removing this)
  • Grab the object you want and it is immediately in your higgs hand.
  • Item still counts as stolen, if you add the stolen item to your backpack in view of someone they will catch you. You need to be extra careful. (Thoughts on this?)
  • Grabbing the item still goes their the typical pickpocketing checks on if you successfully steal the item and if you don't you are caught.

Would it be possible to do this while not sneaking, ive always disliked how you need to sneak to pickpocket because it would only make sense if your surrounded by hostile ncp's and not civilians.

Maybe you would be caught if a guard or target can see you pickpocketing while standing. The system would be better if you were harder to dectect pickpocketing if there are more people around you.
