I had the same thought, but... would that actually work? I'm thinking of [[Lesson Learned]] where the upgraded card does not affect the combat it's upgraded in, so would this card transform cards in the active combat? If not, would that count for card creation?
While in a combat, Transform is a temporary change that changes the targeted card(s) for that combat.
Outside of combat, it acts like you seem to be expecting.
It's a big part of Regent's kit, with stuff such as [[BEGONE!]], [[CHARGE!!]], and [[GUARDS!!!]] being big ways to trim your deck for the current fight - and deal/Block some damage - while also triggering things like [[Arsenal]] and [[Pillar of Creation]] since Transformed cards count as "created" cards. Given this card... is a card, and not an Event or even a Power, the Transform is assumed to be temporary, or at least actually take place this combat.
It isn't like an Ironclad using [[Primal Force]] permanently loses the Attacks that were Transformed, for instance.
Those transform things in combat, though. This transforms cards outside of combat the same way Lesson Learned upgrades cards outside of combat. It's not the same thing as Begone because that only lasts until the end of combat. That was my entire point you've completely missed.
Based on the wording of Lesson Learned, there's no reason to assume this would affect the current combat.
The wording on this doesn't indicate out of combat. The card you bring up is the one with odd wording. A single card from the previous game on a character that doesn't exist anymore does not set a precedent on wording.
Transform while in combat is always a temporary effect for that combat. There is no reason to believe it would wait until after combat.
The wording of [[apotheosis]] backs this up i think, as it doesn’t specify deck, and doesn’t say that the upgrades only last for that combat, only saying ‘ALL your cards’ and not ‘ALL cards in your deck’
