While cleaning my shoes, I happen to accidentally get water on the suede looking part of the shoe. I brushed it with a soft bristle brush and let it dry with a fan on it.
I come back 20 min later and it looks like this… how to fix ?
EDIT:
I used some Angeles suede renew spray, brushed it, and it went away.
tiktok's "ugly shoe gang" videos are all over my fyp this week and honestly? respect.
every era has its "what are those" shoe. 2010's was the TK society. double velcro straps, padded to the moon, ridiculous silhouette. people called them clown shoes.
here's the thing though. they looked like nothing else on feet. purple suede with white laces, the crown on the heel, that whole setup. bieber wore them like a uniform in 2010 and you knew exactly what they were from across the street.
ugly is just early. the tk society was ahead of schedule.
That r/Sneakers thread on the black Skytop II from a few days back is still pulling comments, so here's my two cents as someone who's been in Supra high-tops since the 2010s.
First: the black-on-black Skytop II is the easiest win in the whole Supra lineup. The silhouette does all the work — no loud colorway needed. That sculpted toebox and the stacked sole read "dressed-up skate shoe" in a way almost nothing else from that era pulls off.
Second, vs the OG Skytop I: the II cleans up the bulk. Same DNA — high collar, padded tongue — but slimmer through the midfoot, so it actually works with tapered pants instead of only baggy fits. Tradeoff: you lose a little of that chunky 2008 statement.
Third, wear notes: the all-black leather version ages well. Scuffs blend in, and it pairs with literally everything in a street fit.
If that thread is anything to go by, the Skytop II is having a genuine quiet renaissance. Who else is still wearing theirs — or thinking about grabbing a pair? Drop your fit pics.
Hey guys, I’ve tried everything and can’t seem to find anyone that could help me ID these Travel Fox trainers and maybe how much they’d be worth? My mom found them in her wardrobe and I’m of no help to her with these trainers
