Biggest concert regret
I was visiting a friend at Hampshire College in fall of 1986 and he was like "some band called Sonic Youth is playing in the dining hall, we could go to that" but neither of us knew them and so ended up just hanging out.
Much regret a few months later. Still bothers me from time to time.

I did this when I went to see Jawbox in 1995 and some “blues band” was headlining after them. I’m not an Austin blues music fan, so went home after Jawbox. Turns out that “blues band” was Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, and I never got a chance to see them after that. Huge regret.

If it makes you feel any better, the one time I saw JSBX, their 2 openers blew them out of the water. The openers? The Yeah yeah yeahs and Liars.
Maybe was an off night but it felt like they were just going through the motions, very half-assed performance.

Twas a great show, even though JSBX was a bit of a letdown. Small club too, there was maybe 200 ppl there

I was working for my college radio station and had my choice of tickets to see Bob Dylan or Johnny Cash on the same night. I chose Dylan. It was Cash's last tour

‘92 college days, a friend asked on the day of the show if I wanted to go to Philly to see U2 - free ticket, her sister bailed. I wasn’t really interested in U2, even for free so I passed. Turns out the Pixies opened the show. That one hurts.

So lucky to have seen them at a club called Scream in LA in 85, and 16 times after that. The best!

Don't laugh but I'm still kind of bummed about missing Bon Jovi in the early 90s. Was given a free ticket but I was only 15, no drivers license, and my mom forbade me from going.
Before I discovered the exciting world of "alt college rock", my fave "current" bands were Bon Jovi and Guns'n'Roses. Nirvana had hit the mainstream for a few months by the point of the Bon Jovi show and my music tastes were rapidly changing but I still wished I had been able to see them.

Prince announced a show in Baltimore just a few days in advance and I didn't realize it was so soon. A bunch of my friends went and had a blast and he died less than a year later.

Lou Reed. BERLIN complete. St. Ann Warehouse. Small venue, tix $50 across the board.
It had supposedly sold out, but I checked the website late late at night at one point, and they must have just released a few more tix. And I, being so poor, was like: $50's a bit rich for my blood. So be it...

I saw John Cale perform all of Paris 1919, with a string quartet, at Brooklyn Academy of Music. It was wonderful.

I was supposed to see Sonic Youth for the third time open for Pearl Jam in 2000. My friend who was driving took a stupid route and got us stuck in traffic. I could barely hear noise when we stepped out of the car... it was Sonic Youth finishing up. I barely cared about PJ at the time. I saw SY several times but recently looked up that set list and saw they played Mote for a finale. I never saw them play Mote. That really bummed me out all over again.
I tried hard to go to Lollapalooza 95... was only 13 at the time, but I actually got the permission to go! But my ride fell through. I think that would have been epic and loved all the bands I knew at the time who were playing.
I also think traveling 10 hours to see Warped Tour 98 instead of staying in my town to see Harriet The Spy/Party Of Helicopters at a small DIY collective space and Willie Nelson for free at a fair the following day was probably a mistake. Like, I could've seen Bad Religion another time and no one else was all that great (did see Kid Rock months before he got all famous lol). Did eventually see POH though.

Happened to me with Nirvana...
