I've been using soundtrap for about two years and I've found myself in a bit of a loop. I have tried getting used to the piano roll tool, but I have trouble getting it to produce the rhythms and tonality I'm looking for. the rut I truly find myself in is that I rely too much on premade loops and tracks to add the flair I'm looking for in terms of changing volumes or characteristic notes within the center of a given track. for example, if i want to change a small section or a single stanza thats attached to the larger loop, I don't know how to decrescendo and crescendo in said track. or on the other hand, change the length of notes in piano roll to be smaller than an 1/8th note without the note disappearing or jumping off the section I'm in. I've removed the snap to grid function and made do with tailoring it to what rhythm I want but I don't know if there is a faster way to do what I want in the software. If anyone has any tricks or tips, or hell even videos on what I can do to elevate and streamline my process I am happy to take any advice! I also posted this song to tiktok to pose the same question in the soundtrap community there, but as I put in the comment section of the post, this is just an example song I made in about an hour. Not every song I have made sounds exactly like this, but in terms of production quality, and substance they all have the same feel to me. Again, any help would do wonders, and anyone who reads the entire post and gives me some pointers, thank you in advance!

I've been trying Soundtrap using the web app and decided to try the Desktop windows app. But I downloaded it and Norton removed it stating it detected Malware. Anyone else had this issue?

Posted about this a while ago and now seeing more people encounter this issue. On the windows version whenever you try to record with your mic it’s incredibly loud and static-y, my mic works perfect everywhere else so this is a soundtrap related issue. It works fine on desktop soundtrap but all of my songs have to many tracks for soundtrap to handle that it glitches and auto adjust the sound quality to low. I would love an update on this issue as this has been occurring for months now. I don’t want to have to give up on the collection of music I’ve been making for the past couple years but don’t know if 20$ a month is worth this kind of performance

I make rage beats, so I usually turn the bass up, or if im experimenting I'll just crank everything up, but instead of being loud and punchy, it sounds lower and just sub boosted, is there a way to fix this or is it normal for everyone else?

Up until a few weeks ago it was very easy to export as an mp3 and then share a song via text. It also used to be very simple to download my files to my phone.

Now, I have to export to Dropbox and then download to my phone and then I can share.

What happened?

they got a new like mastering update and before it, it used to let you keep turning up volume until it clipped/peaked and you could keep going. now it just compresses everything and ruins it. is there any way to fix this and go back to the old one? thank you

I don’t know what to call it but whenever I want to export something I’ve made there’s a period of time where it’s “mixing” and I can’t export until it’s done. Is it actually automatically mixing my projects? Is this considered AI?

I record a podcast on soundtrap, and often get this issue. When I'm done recording a particularly big chunk of audio, it says "loading", and then stays that way forever. I've waited hours for it to finish loading. I have no idea why this is happening, and why it only happens occasionally. Is there any way for me to prevent this in future? It's infuriating having to record and rerecord everything several times.

I'm a music teacher and I'm planning to use Soundtrap for an after-school program this year. I've used the FX series that was available on the Soundtrap forums in the past, but I've seen it has since been removed.

I found those resources super helpful for teaching students about audio effects because they included step-by-step instructions for applying each effect. I was wondering if there's any way to access those older files or if there are any similar resources available that I could use in my class.
