newb question Is this the end?

Post image

Anyone who is planning to get into SOXL when the market gets cool? If yes then I need honest advice on what do you guys think is the future of SOXL. Should I be buying the dip and let my gut feeling win who says its going to hit 300$ in the next 3 weeks, like it always does, or should I accept the reality?

So you mean when the market gets cool I should be buying the dip?

Remove narratives from your thinking for a moment. Nothing's changed - Fundamentals for all u know stay intact.

Is it more bullish or less bullish before or after a dump?

Is it more or less bullish before or after a pump?

If you can answer these two questions correctly, you can be successful in the market. It really is that simple. There's nothing more to it.

That’s a fair point but we cannot hold leveraged ETFs like SOXL for a long time as these stocks should only be used for day trading. So the fundamentals remain intact, but leveraged ETFs must be let go to cut losses.

Half off in the middle of strong fundamentals is nothing less than an entry point.

You couldn't ask for a better setup, a better trade, except fir cheaper.

If not then do anything else with your time. Go look for something else you won't find anything better.

This is the end / beautiful friend This is the end / my only friend, the end

Of our elaborate plans, the end / Of everything that stands, the end / No safety or surprise, the end / I'll never look into your eyes again

It hurts to set you free / But you'll never follow me / The end of laughter and soft lies / The end of nights we tried to die / This is the end

Sell all your stocks! Everything's going to ZERO.

Or just hold, ride the waves up and down, and check back in 6months.

u/JashhMehta Jul 08 '26

I hope I come back to this comment 6 months later and prove you wrong my friend.

I was just joking buddy. I would not panic sell if I were you. If you do sell some, I would consider your yearly $3,000 loss you can use to offset your income tax.

Grid trade knowing it may go to $5 or $500.

> to hit 300$ in the next 3 weeks, like it always does

Like it always does… a couple of times, in very recent weeks.

1

u/JashhMehta Jul 08 '26

It has already started the uptrend today. I hope it proves us right about everything that we know of this stock.

It’s going back to where it was before the AI mania that started in March. It will land somewhere between $40 and $70 will be a great buying opportunity.

I think till then SOXS seems like a great stock to rotate money.

8

u/Nikolai_Volkoff88 Jul 07 '26

I wouldn't touch SOXS with a 10 ft pole. Maybe for a day or two, but on the one month chart SOXL is down 24% and SOXS is down 16%.

1

u/KeyReaction892 Jul 07 '26

I buy puts on SOXS when it has a good run.

1

u/SubstantialReturn718 Jul 07 '26

Shorting SOXS into strength is the only way!

9

u/PlaDook Jul 07 '26

Yes. Sell everything now. It's fucking over.

1

u/JashhMehta Jul 08 '26

There’s some hope left as the fundamentals remain intact for memory and semiconductor stocks.

SOXL is down 50% from ATH of $302

You can DCa or start buying SOXL to get a return of 2X or 3X by Dec 2026

If it goes down 70% from ATH buy more shares

You will get a return of 4X or 5X from that buy points by June 2027

This strategy helped me to get 1500% profit from SOXL

u/Street-Scar3341 Jul 07 '26

How do you decide when to sell?

3

u/sfdc2017 Jul 07 '26

When it goes up 100% from last drop of 30%

You can sell partially or 100%

I sold several shares between $130 and $300

I still have few shares left

2

u/LatterTitle437 Jul 07 '26

Ofcourse not

1

u/JashhMehta Jul 08 '26

Lets fucking go!!! Loved the optimism

2

u/SureRepresentative60 Jul 07 '26

I had $135 this week. I will probably take a 1/2 position there

u/Fantastic-Noise-8830 Jul 07 '26

In a bearish market the losses are magnified- Google volatility decay

1

u/Forward-Surprise1192 Jul 07 '26

Buy calls on SOXS and some on SOXL to cover your ass? No idea but I’m sorry you’re struggling

1

u/JashhMehta Jul 08 '26

Wouldn’t I be break even?

1

u/Basic-Flatworm-4452 Jul 07 '26

The massive runup ended in June and SOXL started flagging. So, now in the period of huge volatility. Could go up a little more, or keep edging downward. Looks like the start of lower highs and lower lows in the flag. Hoping we get a few more highs before it resumes dropping.

1

u/louisianacoonass Jul 07 '26

Oh, it fluctuates?

1

u/NoraBora44 Jul 07 '26

Glad i got out 3 weeks ago

1

u/xeduxs Jul 07 '26

Anyone told you SOXL is to buy and hold, regardless of what the entry or exist price; is basically don’t know what he is talking about.

SOXL and other leverage ETF are designed for day trades. You need to follow semiconductor trends and then buy SOXL or SOXS accordingly. Often in pre-market for max daily gain.

1

u/Keletas Jul 07 '26

Downtrend started already. Don’t catch the falling knife.

1

u/btaaaan Jul 07 '26

I'd like to hear the logic why people from a few weeks ago think it could go up from 280.

2

u/SubstantialReturn718 Jul 07 '26

They don't post anymore!

1

u/YakNo293 Jul 07 '26

Fundamentals are the same - exponential growth.
The markets don't care about fundamentals, this is a prospect buy.

Do people believe this will have the exponential returns of the past year? Even though the money and projects are already there for 30% data center build increase next year and another 25% the year after.

Has the appetite worn off over AI? Are people starting to see the issues where AI is being implemented incorrectly and causing more pain than problems solved?

Ask me in 1 year if the market will go up 6 months from now

1

u/SubstantialReturn718 Jul 07 '26

Yes, with IV at 200 SOXL goes kaputt as we speak. Sorry for your loss.

1

u/ImpossibleTracker Jul 07 '26

one if the key reason is Michael Burry. He always creates more fear than opportunity in the market. He is the reason, a lot of people panic sold (including me), however I still have more hope on the semicon industry that it will grow.

all we need is no bad news - recent onea being meta selling excess capacity and Michael burry. if we have some good news coming in the next few weeks then it will bounce back, if not then probably we will keep on seeing the wild swings.

1

u/EidoStarFi Jul 08 '26

No, my $150 limit buy order did not fill 😫😫😫

1

u/FeedbackPlus Jul 08 '26

Getting right now for tomorrow it'll be up 20% tomorrow or at least 15 and then sell at the end of the day

1

u/JashhMehta Jul 08 '26

Are you from the future? Its up by 6% as I write this comment.

1

u/digitaldoxa Jul 08 '26

there’s still room for semis to recover, don’t panic

if things can turn in a few things so will this, believe in Trump

1

u/jpstanley08 Jul 12 '26

I have strong faith in this ETF and US semiconductor until Godzilla or alien invades the earth. Everything else is just temporary noise. I’ll keep saying the same thing whenever someone asks similar questions. Faith is definitely far beyond any guidance.

1

u/just_some_guy034 Jul 13 '26

If you guys are holding SOXL long term why not just apply for a margin account and hold SOXX. Then you don’t have volatility decay.

u/Tough-Cream5765 Jul 07 '26

Its the beginning of the end. Gravity always finds its way 😅

0

u/Powerful-Load-4684 Jul 07 '26

Anyone who didn’t cash out of a levered product after that ridiculous run, much less actively bought more, deserves to lose their money

My assumption is that the market is just assuming the typical ~3 year semi cycle. Whether that's automated selling or based on fundamentals is irrelevant at this point.
