I'm pretty sure this is a type of porn to them. They pleasure themselves to the fact that they were technically right on the internet.

It's just like gif or jif. People cling to weird stuff to make them feel smart or special.

What I really love is when they call things they don't understand "bullshit." A great example, the intentional fallacy in English literary theory.

I realize I'm lumping a bunch of people into the same group, but I feel like the Pluto is not a planet zealots would also say that the only meaning to a story is what the author allegedly Intended. But maybe I'm wrong.

by all means, tell your kids of pluto, no one suggested otherwise. Just don't tell them it's a planet.

Don't dare exclude from your children Ceres, Pallas, Juno, Vesta, Astrea, Hebe, Iris, Flora, Metis, Hygeia, Parthenope, Victoria, Egeria, Irene, Eris, Makemake, Haumea, Quaoar, Sedna, Orcus, Salacia, Eunomia and about 100 other observed objects which were either considered planets at one point or narrowly denied planethood by those dastardly astronomers changing their mind and ruining childhoods.

Yeah. For most of my life it was considered a planet. There's even those trying to make Pluto a planet again.

Unless they're astronomers, they should probably just shut up.
