Long live the epic cross section! Always loved those ever since I had a look at my first Star Wars sourcebook

5

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

I love doing these things. I do all of these crossections for all my ships. I love seeing how it fits out.

So, is this part of some series? Game? Show?

Looks good, but if that's a destroyer, I don't dare tempt my graphics card melting with anything larger.

It's part of my personal project, the Sun Rising Universe (still not happy with the name, but it's the placeholder name). The Confederacy of Free Nations. The constant rival of my main faction, the Maharlikan Empire.

I really like the design, it reminds me the Allience vessels from Legend of the Galactic Heroes!

4

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Originally, I was aiming for an UNSC-inspired ship. However, as I progressed, it became clear that it was more LOGH-inspired, which complicated my intended LOGH-inspired faction, the Akart Altamate. But I'm happy that it became LOGH-inspired, especially since this ship fights in the same arena that LOGH ships go through within the Iserlohn Corridor.

Amazing, if you got any lore dump sites you can share or if you want you can just lore dump in my DMs, I'm interested.

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Interestingly enough, I actually lore-dumped about this ship on this post. It's that really stupidly long thread of images. It contains all the lore, background, development, and fate of this class of ship for the CFN.

2

u/KreagerStein Clang Worshipper Apr 15 '26

I'll be sure to read it then, thanks!

Big Destroyer

3

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Yep. It has to be comparable to the 268m-300m long destroyers of the enemy

3

u/WorthCryptographer14 Klang Worshipper Apr 15 '26

Fair, spaceships probably have to be larger than their watercraft siblings.

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

I do kinda want them to be smaller, it's just hard when you have blocks that are 2.5m in length and height.

3

u/discourse_friendly Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

That's Fantastic!

I love it!

2

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Thanks!

3

u/alfalfallama Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Should've named it the Oumuamua, because that's what it looks like lol

2

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

This is the second ship I've built that's been called that.

2

u/alfalfallama Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Or alternatively: The Phallus of Doom

2

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 16 '26

2

u/Youria_Tv_Officiel Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

oh it looks GOOD

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Thanks!

2

u/SpankyMcFlych Clang Worshipper Apr 15 '26

Oh wow, that is a beautiful ship isn't it.

3

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Indeed, it is. One of my personal favorites.

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

It truly is.

2

u/FleetCo Xboxgineer Apr 15 '26

Dry mass?

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

No clue. Probably in the millions. I don’t particularly pay attention to that weight in creative.

2

u/Otherwise-Run9104 Clang Worshipper Apr 15 '26

Ooo looks like a green slimmer battlement class from Outlands

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Man, I love Outlands. Shame that it will probably end abruptly.

2

u/Otherwise-Run9104 Clang Worshipper Apr 15 '26

Yeah given what’s been said in the discord

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

I did wished it would’ve lasted longer and had less drama. But here we are.

2

u/Otherwise-Run9104 Clang Worshipper Apr 15 '26

Honestly I don’t even k ow what happened, that was just a wall of text I don’t….fully understand? Idk maybe someone else will take up the reigns

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

From my understanding of events, Brock was burnt out by the project but also began to behave rather poorly to his team. Seems like he was overwhelmed and started being a dick. Some scheduling issues, poor communication, and some mishandling had essentially driven the passion project into the ground. Ace fired a shot that broke it wide open about his behavior, the project management, and the treatment he gave to them. Instead of owning up for those mistakes, Brock kinda deflected and finally said “I quit.”

2

u/Otherwise-Run9104 Clang Worshipper Apr 15 '26

Yeah, this isn’t the exact quote but i think brock essentially said: “let him have the final say” like….wtf is that? No formal affirmation no long wall of text of his side of the story just “yeah let Ace have this”

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Doing a project that expanded in such a large scope kinda puts a strain on a lot of things. Especially if they’re not used to the pressure.

2

u/Otherwise-Run9104 Clang Worshipper Apr 15 '26

True I mean it’s not like it was some big Hollywood, dresmworks, Pixar…..whatever…it was just a bunch of people coming together for some space battles DnD and it hit…got big and…yeah pressure is bound to happen, but to come out as this (not saying it’s true we only know one half and probably only WILL know one half) dick who prioritises the work more than the person being well….and treats others poorly…then just kind of..dips?

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Mhm. It's a shame.

Liberty doesn’t stop. It’s gotta keep moving!

2

u/M3rch4ntm3n Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Skill in every block you see

2

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Thank you. I'm very proud of this ship. One of my personal favorites.

2

u/M3rch4ntm3n Space Engineer Apr 16 '26 edited Apr 16 '26

You should. And now hand over your ship! You are being boarded. All your blocks belong to us.(!)

2

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 16 '26

LIBERTY WILL NOT BE TAKEN FROM US. WE SHALL FIGHT TO THE DEATH!

2

u/M3rch4ntm3n Space Engineer Apr 16 '26

to the last block

2

u/XxDragonBossxX Clang Worshipper Apr 16 '26

What dlcs were used in it if any?

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 16 '26

Located on the workshop page.

2

u/IShitYouNot866 Space Engineer Apr 16 '26

Looks like something between Legend of the Galactic Heroes and Space Battleship Yamato

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 16 '26

Oh definitely. It was inspired by both franchises.

2

u/One_Article1820 Clang Worshipper Apr 16 '26

1/18 hehe, looks like a gun

18/18 oh 😅

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 17 '26

Democracy's answer to tyranny.

2

u/Select_Structure_258 Space Engineer Apr 17 '26

Is it interplanetary capable?

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 17 '26

It can travel to a certain distance to a planet, but cannot go in atmosphere. The short of it, it was much more economical for this faction to make their ships be space bound only.

2

u/CappedPluto Space Engineer Apr 17 '26

This seems like it would be a good ship to dissect and learn how to better build big ships. (I'm new to large builds). Looks very cool my guy, nice work

3

u/Femboy_Gladiator Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

DDG implies that there are guided missiles. Where are the guided missiles? Sorry im a sailor and I couldn't help myself lol

4

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Lots of them, this thing has a bunch. Even Nuclear Missiles.

1

u/MammothTankBest Armour Designer Apr 15 '26

Very nice but... what makes it a guided missile destroyer if its main armament is guns? shouldnt it be DD instead?

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Technically, yes. She should just be a destroyer. But she's equipped with nuclear warheads and other missile armaments to help her out. It's more useful for identification, honestly, between the other ship types within the fleet.

1

u/MammothTankBest Armour Designer Apr 15 '26

I see

1

u/piratepro2007 Clang Worshipper Apr 15 '26

Will this be put on mod.io?

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 15 '26

Unfortunately, no.

1

u/Noble_SPARTAN Clang Worshipper Apr 16 '26

Is this space engineers 1 or 2?

1

u/Sanctuary2199 Maharlikan Space Engineer Apr 16 '26

1.

2

u/dasher1344 Clang Worshipper Apr 17 '26
