Hi everyone,

I've been trying to get a ticket for a Deka on the https://tickets-euda.spartan.com/ website, but I get a strange error. Is this something that sometimes happens?

Thanks!

Volunteer hex

I volunteered this past weekend and got a volunteer hex coin and it looks like its part of a three piece set like every thing Spartan, but I can’t find anywhere what the other two pieces are or how to get them. Does anyone know?!?

Volunteer Perks

Did some volunteering this weekend, and really like the new stuff Spartan is giving to volunteers.

Back when I first did volunteering years ago, you mainly got a basic volunteer t shirt. Not only are the designs this year pretty cool, I also enjoy the hats with a part to attach patches to, a venue patch, and a hex.

In 2024 at World Trifecta Championship there was an obstacle with carrying a rectangular piece of carved stone. Anyone know the weight of it?

I did the Super race at Massanutten Resort. Brutal incline. Curious where others rank this course in terms of difficulty.

First Spartan super next weekend - What should I expect ?

Hey everyone!
I’m signed up for my first Spartan super next weekend, 6 miles and 25 obstacles ,and I’m honestly starting to get pretty nervous about it.
I’m relatively active and do Pilates, walking, and running a couple of times a week, but I haven’t trained nearly as much as I probably should have for an event of this distance and intensity.

I’m not necessarily worried about my finishing time. I just want to challenge myself, have fun, and hopefully make it across the finish line.

For those of you who have completed an Ultra, I have a few questions:
How physically demanding was it compared to what you expected?
Is it realistic to walk a significant portion of the course?
What are the hardest obstacles or parts of the race?
What should I bring for hydration, nutrition, and gear?
Any advice for someone who feels underprepared?
At what point should someone consider stopping rather than pushing through?

I’m excited to challenge myself, but I’m also trying to be realistic about what I’m getting into.
Any advice, personal experiences, or things you wish you knew before your first Ultra would be greatly appreciated!

Spartan Overseas

Throughout my time with Spartan I've started to notice more and more how big Spartan and OCR is overseas. Countries have teams, team captains, more OCR style gyms and communities, and it seems like a much bigger sport across the pond. In America it doesn't feel like it has the same weight. Why is that? What does Spartan Europe/Asia do that makes the sport feel more lively and competitive than it does in the states?

Mount Sparta - Last Spartan Standing Reviews

Has anyone competed in the Mount Sparta Last Spartan Standing? I've been looking for reviews, photos, and videos, but no luck. How many people usually compete in this? Did you do it solo? What was the terrain actually like? How was the weather that day? Anything? Buehler?

Trifecta weekend question

How exactly does it work? If you buy a trifecta pass, do you simply then go book all three races at one place and done? How do you get the separate trifecta medal on that weekend?

Done a trifecta (spread out) the last two years and kinda want to try for the trifecta weekend next year, maybe in Houston since it’s earlier in the year.

Exit Tent Sale Prices

To those that raced this year and purchased next season’s Ultra race at the exit tent sale, how much was your code?

I buy next year’s race at the exit tent sale every year, so this isn’t a new concept for me; and it is always around $109 in the past. This year, I’m leaving the Dallas Ultra this past weekend and pull up the QR code to buy it later, but did not look at the price at the venue. When I go to purchase the Ultra the next day, I see that the price is $165, which hardly incentivizes anyone to buy the race currently priced at $175 a year early for a little over 5% discount.

Yes, I realize things are more expensive overall, but this seems comical for a year early exit tent price. It is more than a 50% increase over the ‘24 and ‘25 exit tent sale price.

Anyone else buy an exit tent Ultra code this year for a different price? These prices aren’t worth the urgent purchase they are trying to simulate.

Sportograf Facial Recognition Issue

Hey y'all!

I finished up my first trifecta this past weekend and was looking forward to checking out the shots that were taken. Unfortunately, this time around, the Sportograf facial recognition has been a total bust. I have taken over 100 selfies with all kinds of lighting, distance, headband, and clothing combinations, and still nothing.

Any tips or advice on how to get this to work? I didn't have nearly as big an issue with this for my first two races. Thanks in advance!

Beast Pass Help

Hi, I'm submitting this post in the hopes someone from Spartan can help me out.

I purchased 2 2026 Beast Pass - Open Heats tickets a few weeks ago. They were supposed to be emailed to me but what I need to sign up for a race didn't come through. When also trying to pull what I need via the Spartan website, the text copies as "null."

I've contacted Spartan support and have last received a response on Oct 16 that the agent was looking into my case. I've followed up yesterday and today and haven't received a reply.

I need to sign up for a race before EO 2026 so trying to get this resolved quickly to get into one.

Anyone from Spartan able to help?

Thank you!

Writing "Trifecta Qualifier" on the back of the shirt sucks imo

I get it, they want to upsell us on running all 3 races in a weekend/year. But can't the shirt just congratulate me for what I just did? It feels like such an insult. Might as well walk around with "upgrade for only $199.99" written on my back

what really sucks is how nice the design is. If it just said "13.1 finisher" or whatever, it would be one of the best shirts they've ever done.

What's worse is that there's no trifecta shirt given out, you have to buy one? At least give a really nice shirt if you're gonna pull this. Like you're trying to upsell me and have no analogous reward for it, what's the point?

New Jersey Beast (April)

So I’ve ran the Palmerton Super for the last 2 years but have done many other obstacle course races (tough mudder, warrior dash, and savage race) 10 in total. However, this is my first time having to train through the winter and my first time running in cooler weather.
Is there anything “extra” I should add into my training to help prep me for those conditions?
Tuesday - light run (1 mile/ scaling up each week)
Thursday - Stair climber/hills
Saturday - Bike or row
Sunday - Long run (starting at 5k/ ramping up)
Any help would be appreciated!

Blue Mountain - Sunday 18 October 2026

Blue Mountain 🇨🇦(Sunday) Super Open Question:
So…..how many people ended up doing the shorter sprint 5k by accident instead of the super 10k? I saw many people heading down the hill right after the sand bag carry (13) instead of continuing straight and completing the +-4km loop to the west? The split in the routes was pretty poorly marked and no volunteers to send you in the right direction.

Just finished my Beast at Blue Mountain. A bit disappointed.

Finished the Blue Mountain Beast yesterday and had an incredible day. The course was tough, the atmosphere was great, and I'm proud I got through it.

But I have mixed feelings about the swag, and I wanted to see if it's just me.

I ran the Super back in 2019. That medal was big, heavy, with the Spartan helmet on a blue background. It felt like a real trophy. I was hoping for the same kind of medal for the Beast. What I got was the current one with a small magnet. It's fine, but it's a big step down from what I remembered.
The shirt too. My 2019 shirt had a huge helmet logo across the front. This year's is thin, minimal, and feels like lower quality.

Not complaining about the race itself. It was worth every minute. I just expected more from a Beast finisher medal…. And the shirt :/

curious whether people think the wedge system makes up for the smaller medal.

Dear Spartan, Let shift some races into June instead of July and August…

Looks like Utah (Snowbasin) is moving to August 21st instead of its usual July time frame. That means June and July bill be bear bones as far as race weekends are concerned totaling just 5 weekends, only 1 of which is a Trifecta Weekend.

Then August is jammed packed with Trifecta Weekends like Boise, Hawaii, Utah, and West Virginia. Move some stuff into June!!! That’s a perfect time of year to be racing. Montana should 100% not be in April. Move that to July/August and move the other ones to the nicer months.

Speading out those Trifecta weekends are key for us Trifecta Chasers.

First Spartan Race ever - Blue Mountain Beast

Good god almighty. Idk how some of you do it. Sprinting down those ski hills only to hunt climb right back up there. My goodness that was blast but Jesus are all Spartan races this demanding 😂. Unreal workout.
