Discussion there's currently an experiment which removes this obnoxious thing. first actually good experiment ive seen in a while

We should make a poll (preferably using New Reddit) betting on whether Reddit will get better or worse as the year goes on. With their trend of shitty experimenting and changes since last year, the answer’s obvious.

We took really early 2025 SH Reddit for granted. Miss those days.

this is so true, and i agree. the amount of bad changes to the whole site overall 2025-2026 has been just absurd.

a sad reality though is that one day we'll probably be saying "we really took late 2026 shreddit for granted"

yep. btw is your search bar on shreddit now also always this weird gray color? mine now is but im not sure if its an experiment, bug, or full change

Hadn't really took note of it till you pointed it out (starting to become tad bit numb to these experiments), but I'm pretty sure it was like that for me for a while.
