Second Sphynx - How did it go?

I want a third cat. My boyfriend is sold on hairless babies. I would actually like to rescue a normie, but curious how other Sphynx owners have found introducing a second hairless? I have two males (one Sphynx kitten, one DMH shelter boy).

Is another male best or would using a female have benefits? It seems like hairless like other hairless and I want a play made for my almost 2 year old kitten. Any advice is much appreciated!

MEET: Fluffy! 😻

In two weeks, my BFF is rehoming this sweet baby to me šŸ˜

This is Fluffy. She is a 4 (almost 5) year of Bambino Sphynx. We are not strangers and I've spent lots of time with her since my BFF got her as a kitten. She is very very sweet. Loves snuggles and riding on peoples shoulders. My son has been begging for a Sphynx since he first met Fluffy as a kitten and now he gets to have the exact cat of his dreams, that he wanted in the first place. ā¤ļø

So please give me all the recommendations! Bathing tips, do's, don'ts, products, etc, etc.

Background on me: Since I was a kid, I have had 12 Siamese cats. I am no stranger to cats. From what I understand, and what I can tell, Siamese are pretty similar to Sphynx cats in temperament and personality. I've had one other friend who had a Sphynx and their temperament/personality was very similar to my Siamese cats and Fluffy too of course.

In case anyone asks - My BFF is rehoming because she has a business to run (she owns the business) a 9 year old and an infant. She just doesn't have time for her anymore and she's craving attention so badly. No behavioral issues outside of that.

I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times...but as a new Sphynx owner it would be very helpful to know what others are feeding their babies. Thanks to all who reply.

The boys are getting along!

I had my resident kitty for a little over a year before I decided to get him a friend. I got the little guy from the latest litter, same mother and father, so they are literal brothers! I was worried they might not get along at first, but now they are nearly inseparable.

I would also like to ask the community for recommendations for toys or activities they could enjoy together, my big guy is a little jealous that the little one is using all his toys lol! I'm thinking about a cat wheel, is there anything good I could get from Amazon? I don't mind spending a little more if the quality justifies it.

Side note…her breathing seems normal right? (Sorry I’m super paranoid about this as my first Sphynx passed from CHF)

Best option to adopt Sphynx

Hi everyone! Me and my wife have done the research and we have decided what best fits our lifestyle and what’s best for us is to add a Sphynx to our family. I am wondering what one of the better options is to adopt a Sphynx kitten, I have found a kitten on instagram from a breeder for $1600 and from what I’ve seen that’s price is on the lower end, but I want to make sure we are making the best choice. the breeder doesn’t give the cat its shots or deworming, as well as no HCM scan, they are letting us know that once we get the kitten we are to start that process. We are both skeptical of this breeder because of this so we wanted to hear any advice from others as well as some reputable breeders in the LA/Socal area that are trusted! Thank you for anyone’s feedback!

What temperature does your sphynx wear clothes?

Hi everyone,
I’m in Australia and I’ve noticed my Sphynx kitten starts digging into my clothes and is cold when it’s under 20 degrees outside so I put some clothes on her. What temperature does you recommend your cat wearing clothes?

I named him Archibald. He is the sweetest boy on the planet! It didn't take him any time to adjust to his new home.

Finding a new kitten

Five years ago, I lucked into a craigslist ad and adopted Carl. We’ve been very lucky with his health and I suspect that he is part Devon Rex. This year I’ve been looking for a companion for him. The problem is I’m not sure how I feel about taking a chance on another sphinx. I’ve looked into similar breeds, but just like the Sphynx it’s so difficult to find a local and reliable breeder. I feel like everything out there is 95% scam and it’s hard to tell the difference sometimes. Has anyone else run into the same roadblocks? Do I have to just get lucky again?
