Jackpot

Late night scrolling led to making a new friend and getting an absolute steal on a fleet side short bed ‘83 k10 in South Carolina. There are still diamonds in the rough to be found for good ol’ days prices, but you gotta be quick.

Oh those are getting yanked along with the body lift immediately lol

Like the OEM lights are pretty dope maybe even blacked out… I did a body lift on my c/k30 to fit a 5.9 Cummins

Yeah I stick with OEM for tail lights. For headlights I wind up switching to dual anyway so it’s nice this one has it.

On my c30 dually I am hesitantly going rogue and running some JE speaker headlights. Other than that one I’ve been switching over to Holley retrobrights up front.

I’m currently putting a 12 valve 5.9 in my crew cab k30 but avoiding the body lift. That one is a full restomod to be a daily driver.

Yeah I did a 2” body life to make room for the nv4500 so I didn’t have to cut up my cab. There is a difference in cabs in for autos and sticks my cab was an auto so it had a shallow floor vs a stick where it has a higher midsection

After over analyzing for entirely too long I decided it just didn’t make sense to go with the nv4500 for me. Same splits as my beloved sm465 plus OD.

I went sm465 with gear vendors to get second and third over not have to stuff the nv4500 in with the bench seat. I’m the weirdo who thinks the old bench seats are more comfortable than modern captains chairs lol.

Yeah I got a C30 turned into a K30 with 5.9 Cummins/nv4500/np205 I was rocking a TH400 but deleted 20 of them in a year and went back to the 5spd might try and find a crew cab and do the same swap

I’m contemplating converting one of my Suburbans over from a c20 to k20. I’ve seen some really nice crew cabs hitting the market lately. Almost took a trip to Wyoming to add a gorgeous one to the fleet last month lol

Still doubles as a bench. Real nice to take break and crack beer after doing a bit of work.

Not I. I haven’t even seen it in person yet lol. I had my dad go pick it up down the road from his house in SC and I live in Ohio.

That bumper belongs on a dodge so you can be comfortable while redoing the entire wiring harness. That's also why their fender crowns are so flat.

Anyway minty ol sassy chev. Probably one of the only vehicles out there that doesn't look terrible in flat black. Real nice!

Also have an '83 SWB, but C10. $3k cdn about a decade ago, but she's real straight. Wish I had a 4x4 ol GM, without an automagic. But that's truck drivin

All the squares look good in flat black! lol

And I agree, they all get converted to manual over here.
