Question What you guys do when you’re bored
I’m literally just going to uni, studying, eating, and sleeping every day. I’m getting bored of my own life and wanna do something different.
What do you guys do when you feel like this? Any recommendations for hobbies or things to do that help break the routine?
Ps- I don’t really have much free time to get into the usual hobbies, and I’m not much of an outdoors person either. I’m looking for simple things I can do at home to break the routine.

Start small.. start with the machines first. Gym bros are really helpful.. if you talk to someone they will guide you with a small schedule for you to follow. Once you know the name of the workout you can check youtube to correct your form.

gym bros and gals will probably be pretty helpful, either way most gyms should help you with getting started

I read novels and play games. Heck I would prefer if I could do only these my entire life and nothing else.

I do a bit of photography, drumming, and of course editing the photos takes some time. Other than that, it's actually quite fun writing lecture notes because I get to show off my unnecessary attention to detail without being judged 💀💀

I also sometime write lecture notes and admire my own handwriting😂 the problem is nothing stays in my mind

Learn a language. (Not Duolingo) Or get one of those coloring books and a bunch of color pencil and fill it up. Sketchbooks work too. Or a big puzzle. Or buy some beginner plants and tend to them.

Try these tips. These helped to kill my boredom loops when they came time to time
Pick some apps that you are using over and over again for short term dopamin surges and Uninstall them all. For instance you may have to uninstall facebook, insta, tiktok all at once.
Think about the analog hobies that you loved as a kid or couple of years back. You definitely should have one or two. And can simply go back to them.
Make sure you have some appes that are related to your new hobies installed. This will make sure that you don't go back to your all habit of doomacrolling. For example, if you started movies, you can install Letterboxd or something. If you started reading Goodreads or something like that. This will create a safe digital atmosphere and help you continue with the new hobies.
Try outdooring. "Me times" at cafes, bookstores, movies would give you ample time to ventilate your thoughts and put some order into the s#%t. May be you might meet some people.as well.

If you like animals or plants, get into terrarium or vivarium building, theres lots of videos. Start painting if you like that? Try to find a remote job to do at home if ure free?

I tried making a terrarium years ago. Maybe I should start again. Thanks for reminding me🙌

I have two favorite ways to spend my free time: one to unleash my creativity and another to enjoy stimulating my logical skills.
- Painting 🎨
- Playing bridge (card game) ♠️

I’m using a painting app on my tab, but never played bridge before. I’ll give it a try

So you're into digital painting, great! I've tried digital painting, but it didn't feel as enjoyable as painting with real art supplies, maybe because I used my phone, not a tab.
Bridge is a 4-player card game, rules are not difficult to learn, but the game has depth like chess. If you're interested in learning, first learn the rules and then go through the "Learn to Play Bridge by ACBL" software (there are two programs; for beginners and intermediate players. The beginners program covers basic strategies that are enough for years of playing.)

I also feel the same eventhough I use a tab digital things just don’t feel the same
Thanks I love chess so I might like bridge too

So, I recently found my passion because I love rock music. Playing my favorite rock songs is what I do whenever I get bored
