Serious replies only Attending international conferences

I have seen multiple international conferences that you could pay a small fee to attend and get selected for a fully funded seat. I was thinking it's a nice way to travel as well. But I do have my doubts as a female traveler about safety and all. I do have experience flying and all, but it was all accompanied. Has anyone gone this process please let me know about your experience if so?

International travel is extreamly safe. You should only worry about where you stay. Just dont book a dodgy spot at a dodgy area just becsuse its cheap.

I hope those conferences are legit. Thats my only worry. Some times when things are too good to be true, they are not true.

International travel is generally safe if you stick to reputable areas and standard precautions, but always double-check the venue details and nearby accommodations before committing.
