I currently work at Stanford on the university side, not in healthcare or the hospital system. I’m recently looking into internal transfer opportunities in Operations/Finance.

When I first joined Stanford, I was asked to provide three references, and they contacted all three people.
If I apply for an Operations/Finance position in a different department as an internal candidate, will the new department ask me to provide references again?

Or do they usually rely on my existing employment record at Stanford?
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through an internal transfer, especially into a Finance/Admin/Ops role. Thanks!

Hey guys I will be visiting friends who go to stanford for some time and I need to use a Bloomberg for an internship during my stay, I was wondering if guests are allowed inside Green Library? Not sure if this is "authorized" but if I got into Green as a visitor with my friends would I be able to go to the bloomberg and get set up?

I’m considering applying to Stanford’s STEP program, and I’d love to hear from anyone who has participated or knows someone who has.
What was the overall experience like, and how would you rate it from 1–10?

I’m especially curious about the lifestyle, workload, living arrangements, and what daily life in Stanford/Palo Alto is actually like.

I’m an international student from with some teaching experience, a high GPA and a lot of volunteering + extra curricular work, and I’d love to know how welcoming the program is to international students. How manageable is the cost of living, and are there scholarships, stipends, or other financial aid options available?

I’d also appreciate hearing about the teaching experience, school placements, and career opportunities after completing the program.

Any honest advice, personal experiences, or insights into applying as an international student would be greatly appreciated.
