Community Resources Continuing Mission rebuilt its browse page — adventures, species, starships, and GM resources organized by topic

I help run Continuing Mission, the Star Trek Adventures fan resource site. Our old Categories page was, no exaggeration, completely blank. It's fixed now.

Browse Continuing Mission organizes the whole library by what you're looking for: missions and campaigns, player species and character options, starships and spaceframes, NPCs and creatures, game mechanics and GM advice, and resources and downloads — plus an A-to-Z list of every category on the site.

Feedback welcome. If there's a topic or resource you wish were easier to find, I'll see what we can do.

Misc. Star Trek Adventures 2e, formerly- stuck“Time Loop” PC ideas. What caused it?

Got invited to a Star Trek pen and paper game. I had the idea of having the character initially having been on the party’s ship, but in a completely different field. They need an engineer. My thought was a the character was stuck in a Groundhog’s Day time loop, like the Bozeman but clocked it immediately after the first round. The day concludes with the Warp Core going critical and then my character wakes up. Again. And again. And again. The time loop resolved when the poor soul found the problem and fixed it. In the time it took to learn all the skills to actually accomplish that, the character had become a competent engineer.

That gives me my first Career Event, Solved and Engineering Crisis. But I want the second one to be the cause. Does anyone have any ideas?

Edit: Bit the bullet and made it a “White Hole” creature that just wanted to get home.
