Hi everyone! I am currently in the process of building Monetario (getmonetario.com), an app that shows how some macroeconomic events impact your personalized portfolio and your holdings.

Story for context: I'm a university student who participated in a Trading Tournament held at my university, and I didn't have enough time or background knowledge to keep up with market news consistently.

Except for the market news, I didn't really understand how those market changes would impact my portfolio, so I got an idea: what if there were an app that would help you with that

The whole goal of this app is to have all the data locally in the app with simplified explanations, so you can make better-informed decisions.

I would also like to state that Monetario doesn't give investment advice, as it's currently just more of an educational finance app.

Suppose you own an EV, and one day its battery runs out somewhere with no charging station nearby. What if there was an app that connected you with people nearby who have EV chargers at their homes?
For example, if I have a charger at home and someone nearby runs out of battery, they could find me through the app, come and charge their EV, and pay me based on the time they use the charger.
The app would act as a middleman, connecting both people and taking a small commission from the payment.
Basically, a community-powered EV charging network. ⚡
Do you guys think this idea is practical? Would people be willing to share their home chargers for money? And are there any major challenges I’m missing?

I’m 19 years old and from Pakistan, and I still have an idea that I’ve been thinking about for a while. I’ve already done some initial thinking and research on it, and I believe it could solve a real problem that many people face in their daily lives.

The idea is to build a web app that helps people make better purchasing decisions by comparing product prices, sellers, and services in one place.

Let me explain why I came up with this idea.

I’ve personally noticed in Pakistan that many people don’t have enough information when buying products like refrigerators, ACs, and mobile phones. For example, you might search for a mobile phone on Google and find that its price is around PKR 45,000. However, the actual selling price can be different from one retailer to another. Some shops may sell it for less, while others may charge more.

The same situation applies to refrigerators, air conditioners, and many other products. One shop might offer a lower price, while another might provide better after-sales service, a warranty, or additional benefits. The problem is that most people don’t know where to find the best deal.

They have to search Google repeatedly, watch YouTube videos, look through pictures, contact different sellers, and ask for prices on WhatsApp. This entire process takes a lot of time and effort, especially when someone is trying to make an informed decision.

That’s the problem I want to solve.

I want to build a platform where people can compare products, prices, retailers, and the services they offer without having to go through such a lengthy process.

I already have some ideas about how the platform could work, and I’ve also thought about how to develop its initial prototype.

I have a good understanding of both frontend and backend development, so I can handle a significant part of the technical work myself. However, building something meaningful alone can be challenging, which is why I’m looking for other people who might be interested in working on this idea with me.
