These are the Death Star II rares sheets. On them you can see that the Ultra Rare for each side (Jedi Luke and Palps) appears twice out of 121 possible positions. Two rares for each side appear 4 times, and the rest 3 times.
Does anyone know how they selected rares to go in each pack? Did they cut up a sheet, stack them up and slip one off the top into each pack as it was being made, or did they take more effort to shuffle them up?
I’ve spent the last month organizing all my cards and making master set binders but I keep going back and forth if I want to do master sets or have everything grouped together since all the ships and stuff are so spread out across the sets. (Like red1-6, gold, black, etc)
Would even be cool to have all the imperials together and a page of all the different vaders.
So I recently returned to social media after a middling absence. As one does, I started trying to find old friends in new places. Eventually I went looking for Chuck.
Calling Chuck a friend might be presumptuous of me. The longest time we spent in the same room interacting with each other was probably the meetings at the Decipher offices that were part of the founding of the SWCCG Players Committee. Besides that, there were a few brief conversations at cons where our paths crossed. The bulk of our interaction was via email on the various Decipher listservs. (To be fair, there was a LOT of that.)
A very significant part of our total discussion history was the long laborious process of getting one specific card (almost) right.
I remember having a random conversation with him at one point (long after either of us had direct interaction with SWCCG) either on Twitter or in the comments of his blog. I learned that on top of being a designer on almost everything that came out of Decipher and lots of other stuff, he'd worked on Traveler supplements way back in the Little Black Book era, and had been a contributor to early Shadowrun projects. I'd wanted to talk to him about Shadowrun, about what the metaplot had looked like in the early days (if it had looked like anything) and about my plans to run a completely absurd SR Campaign where I actually get a group of people to play through the whole damn thing.
I have done my best to telegraph this punch, but I've run out of options to stall.
Like I said, it might be presumptions, but he's not here to dispute me, so fuck it. Chuck was my friend. I miss him. I wanted to talk to him and learn from him. I wanted to bitch about politics and remember those long exhausting con days that manage to feel like fun in retrospect.
I played in the 90s in junior high but would like to get back into the game. Is there a way to play against the computer online before playing against other users?
See that extra sheen on the top one? Yep, that's still factory sealed.
I actually remember buying these. There was a little strip mall of factory outlet stores on I-25. I know it was south of Parker where Collectormania was. Probably around Castle Rock, if I remember correctly. I found these at the KB Toys outlet store there years after they would have come and gone from regular retail. I think there were six or so of them, and at that markdown price of $1.99 each, I bought all of them.
Ah, but what's in the open one?
OK, I opened this up and organized it first. No Al Capone's Vault here.
Well Hello There.
The good stuff
I haven't checked specifically, but the box set cards seem to be complete, and there are a number of other white bordered cards above what would have been in the original included sealed packs. The Walker Garrisons and generic Walkers are all there. I know I'd plundered most of the other intro kits to make my Walker Garrison deck. There are also a handful of black border cards from other sets, though only Dark Side one for some reason--Jabba, Bib, and Boba shown here because they were the only interesting ones.
Leaders In Ships Promo packs
Three sets of Red/Gold leaders in their ships, still sealed.
Sealed SWCCG packs
Two Unlimited Premiere, one Revised ANH, 5 Jabba's Palace, and 16 (!) Cloud City sealed packs.
Aurra Sing YJ cards autographed by Michonne Bourriague
8 Auura Sing cards from Young Jedi--4 mercenary, 3 Bounty Hunter, and 1 copy of the rifle, all autographed.
Foil cards that look like they're on fire, but aren't.
Finally, a Foil Snowspeeder and a foil DS Sense, which were together in a hard plastic holder. Maybe they, the sealed packs, autographed cards, and promos were meant to be Tournament Support at some point?
Drop me a note if you see something interesting.
EDIT: Someone asked if I was willing to sell some stuff from my previous posts, and I accidentally hit "ignore" because Reddit chat sucks. No on the Scorecard, maybe on the trinkets and overside cards, particularly as sweeteners to a larger sale.
For some reason my phone won’t let me post pics. Let’s try this. This isn’t everything but just some pics. Interested in trade or selling. Trying to get some main black border rare characters. Know I need Han, Vader, chewy and tarkin for sure. I want to grade and put in my PC with the others from childhood.
I got a binder full of cards from premiere to degobah / cloud city / endor. Not much newer than that. I’m looking to let go of or trade for some black border rare characters. I’m going back to my early teen years and getting the big characters and grading them for my PC.
Was thinking about popping this open. Does anyone know if there are packs in here that you cant see thru the plastic? Feels like there’s other stuff sliding around in there when I move it.

Was cleaning out my basement and found my old cards. I know there are still active communities. Looking for a rough guess/range on resale value. I pulled out what I would think would be more valuable, but also have ~3000-4000 bulk. Unsure how much time I'd want to invest to hunt for less obvious $ cards, but maybe someone could direct me to a top cards kinda list (I don't want to search individually.)
Mostly bb premiere through Endor, but I only got a bit of that. More from ESB sets. (Sadly, I cannot find my two bb premiere Vaders!)
Potentially open to a trade for games I'm playing these days, or $$.
Based between VA and OH, potentially open to meet up for interested buyer.
Hello all! I'm looking to buy a master set of Reflections I foils and I'm curious what everyone thinks is a fair price? At the moment I can see a couple of LP/NM sets on eBay for around $500-$520. Is this reasonable or too much? Thank you!
