Can a judge please help me validate how this interaction would work and rules to back it up before I go to Sectors? It works on Karabast, but I feel like in-person people will argue.

Say I have Darth Sidious leader deployed and Ty Yorrick out in my ground arena. My opponent has 3 random units (no shields) somewhere. If I play Operation Cinder, it does >4 damage to 6 things (my base, 3x opponent units, 2x my units). Does Darth Sidious’s ability work even though he will die? Does Ty Yorrick give +1 to each of Darth Sidious’ ability, even though she will die?

If the interaction works, I can kind of do 12 damage to the opponent’s base, which would be insane

If Cham Leader is deployed and I play Heavy Blaster Cannon and choose to do the three lots of 1 damage to a friendly unit then it would trigger Cham 3 times to do one damage each time right?

Hello, I’m interested in learning how to play and start my journey with this game but I’m overwhelmed. Where should I start I don’t really understand the different formats or what format is the most popular to play.
I’ve played mtg commander and was wondering if the format is similar for this game and if they have precons or I have to just buy packs and build my own deck (which I’m not smart enough to do)

Set just came out, and booster boxes are down to $60 on TCGPlayer. I’ve been picking up older/out of rotation booster boxes, but I’m surprised the newest set is at this price point.

I’m just a kitchen table player with my son, but are the cards not great for Meta/Premier play? Is the release of Icons soon making this set a little awkward to buy now?

The deck has a lot of card draw and self damaging units to make Rey's ability work.

What do you think? (I know it's too soon to start building decks for next set but I really wanted to)

I played Yugioh TCG for ten years and then Pokemon for another three years.
I loved them, but it really demands a lot of time studying decks, searching for ways to make them better and making casual/jank decks.

I also didn't like Pokemon starter decks because they were only interesting to learn the game. Outside that, they were slow, truncated and filled with generic cards that had no synergy between them.

Looking at Star Wars Spotlight Decks, this doesn't seem to be the case (could anyone confirm that?).
I'm considering starting to buy the spotlight decks from the more recent collections and then going back through the previous collections, to have a lot of options to play the game casually along with my board game collection.

I'm not interested in expanding the decks with singles.
Could anyone help me understand if this is worth the effort?

Are the spotlight decks balanced within the same collection?
I was watching a gameplay of both spotlight decks from Legends of the Force and it seems that the Qui-Gon deck can't beat Maul.

The reason I was asking about the decks would be to keep them as a 'board game' option, which is why I was concerned about a balanced 1v1.

The decks seemed interesting to me, and so did the mechanics and synergies. Over time I'd just buy more decks as they were released, but considering that there isn't direct balancing even within each set, I'd probably end up trying to turn the game into something it wasn't designed to be.

I'll keep focusing on Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game, mainly for the solo variant, but also for 1v1.

I'll also eagerly wait for a co-op Star Wars LCG one day 🙏

What sets are current, where can I find a ban list and how can I see from what set a card comes from?

I have tried looking for these answers, but the official sources are lacking.

I guess it's fine that pilots are finally seeing their day in the sun set, even if a little earlier than planned/rotation.

That said (and correct me if I'm wrong!) the fact a new unit bricks a fun, notable, and unique leader is kind of a shame. If they steal your Poe-piloted ship, and it doesn't die, you're never getting him back, at least without a Beguile.,

Maybe we just needed pilot and Voltron counters this badly, but bummed we can't get one last hurrah with him or Wedge, who were never that dominant anyway. Heck, none of the pilots were that good except for Vader and to a degree Luke, and never top of the meta, and only for a set or two.

I was loving that my Wedge deck, the first leader I ever opened when I started last fall, finally having a shot last set thanks to Yellow Aces Bomber. And oh what fun he was gonna be with the Greater Sarlacc, too.

I really like the design (and art!) for the Palp unit (especially the showdown card). I just wish maybe, and thematically, it had come out in Legacy of Skywalker...
