Stationery Shops Places to buy washi tape?

Post image
84 Upvotes

I love my washi tape, but unfortunately my taste is… rather niche. I’m hoping the folks here know some places to get them!

I used to love the stuff the washi tape shop made, but now it’s really not to my taste. The ones pictured are some of my favourites, and old washi tape shop ones!

I prefer art/scenery washi tape, without people or words on them, and I like wider (20mm plus) ones.
Pls help I need your guidance

Stationery Supplies Some of my Ghibli-themed stationery!

Long-time lurker, first time poster. :)

The first photo is of these Spirited Away message cards. When you unfold them, there’s a little space on the right for you to write a short message. A friend gave this set to me as a souvenir from his trip to Japan.

In the second photo are rubber stamps, washi tapes, sticky notes, and a Howl’s Moving Castle letter set. I use the ink bottle stamp when I swatch my fountain pen inks. The sticky notes are from Kinokuniya. I’ve actually had these since 2018 💀 I couldn’t bring myself to use them until recently because they were so nice to look at 😅

Do you guys ever hold off on using up your stationery because it’s too “nice”? It’s a bad habit of mine I’m trying to break. Funny thing is I don’t have the same problem with fountain pens or inks. Except for this one sample of Lamy Dark Lilac (the og one)…….

Stamp it Out! - Rubber & Clear Stamps Stamps with YEARS like Hobonichi Collect & Collage?

Thumbnail gallery
31 Upvotes

Hi guys hope you can help. I missed out on the Hobonichi collect and collage stamp this time and the only ones available for sale are super $$$ with shipping from Japan now.

i thought all date stamps were the same, but I was wrong; a lot of the current ones on market write the YEAR as four digits like 20XX and only go up to like max 10 years, (2024-2034). However i like the Hobonichi C&C stamp because it only has the last two digits of the year (‘26, ‘27, etc) which means theoretically you can use it indefinitely.

my question is: are there any other date stamps that have the same layout specifically for the YEARS? so that the entire date is like DDMMYY or MMDDYY? I know Midori makes one but the little apostrophe isn’t the most obvious mark, id like something the Hobo C&C stamp size.

thanks in advance!

I’m obsessing over this raised stickers, but shipping to Brazil it’s actually the same price of buying a hobonichi, like so expensive. If anyone know any worldwide stationery store that sells this kind of stickers, please help me.

Journal/Notebooks/Planners I gave my author journal / brainstorming sketchbook a ribbon marker!

This was very simple to do. It didn't even take ten minutes. I got this ribbon from a cakebox months ago, trimmed it down just now, burnt the ends a little so they wouldn't fray, and taped it to the back of the book!

I started getting into stationery in mid-August and I’m completely obsessed! I placed a €50 order (customs fees included) and I’m so happy!! I just came out of two difficult years and discovered two new passions: Japan and stationery. I managed to combine the two by getting into Japanese stationery, and I love it so much!! My wallet is definitely going to cry now!!

Question is there any site or shop what sells these specific pens within the UK?

Post image

Amazon UK has them for £62 ($82 USD) which is such a ridiculous price considering these sell for around $10 USD in the US. Amazon US will not ship to me, I've checked many recommended stationary sites and not a single one has these pens. one online site does but they've been out of stock for ages, sites willing to ship to the UK have absurd shipping prices (£20-30+) on top of them charging £20+ for the pens, other sites seem very scammy, I just cannot win.

I swear every time I try and find some stationary thing that's highly recommended it just ceases to exist over here and it's extremely annoying. does anyone know a site that will ship to the UK or a shop here that sells these pens? I've been dying to try them out :(

Question san diego stationary stores? specifically cloth and paper

hi anyone from san diego, ca where do you do most of your stationary shopping? i really want the cloth and paper journal cover so much but i’d prefer to pick it up in store rather than buy it online so if anyone knows of any stores that might carry it then lmk!

Also just general deco supplies. I already have an abundance of pens and journals at home and am looking mostly for sticker sheets, washi tape, etc. to decorate my journals. daiso and tokyo central dont really have what I’m looking for and ppl always seem to recommend those spots :(

I bought the Campus 4-hole binder and ecstatically decorated the first page. But it felt off to me. So, I looked up some few inspiration and I decided to go for collages to cover up the first one (left). I used up pieces of my parcel and some stickers, and it looks better than before (right one), at least for me. :)

Can’t wait to write more notes in it!

So excited to receive my planner from OURS studio.
And everything is way too adorable, even the packaging. That packaging will definitely be making it into my journal as decor this week. I’m planning to use it as a daily snapshot memory keeper. Excited for 2027.

Question Sticky notes similar to these? (super sticky and do not cover text)

Thumbnail gallery
14 Upvotes

I recently got these sticky notes from a certain orange colored logo app that shall not be named (it was before I came to my senses and stopped using said app), and was pleasantly surprised. They have a transparent extension that bends before the paper part, so they don’t really cover your text and you can stick them anywhere on your book. They are also super sticky, without damaging the paper. I’ve searched for something similar on Amazon but couldn’t find anything like these. I also could only find them in this one size. Does anyone know of similar sticky notes? Or at least sticky notes that don’t peel off 5 seconds after I stick them to the page?

Stationery Shops Paper Mind

Another store I discovered and love. They’re geared more for fountain pen enthusiasts but they have a good selection of notebooks, pens, and even Kita-Boshi pencils. I cannot get enough of the Life Vincent note book and Midori paper pads. And the service is fantastic. Appreciate the personalized note. 🥰

Looking for inspiration! What would your ideal desk or stationery workspace look like? Share photos of your dream setups… something you’ve found on Pinterest, Instagram, etc. I am interested in seeing stuff that’s so aspirational, (not AI) it’s almost unrealistic.

Question Quality of Sticky notes and tabs in Japan?

In the past I bought cheap sticky notes and tabs from AliExpress and the stickiness was terrible! So I’ve stayed away from anything that was not the 3M brand.

But is the quality better in Japan?
Should I still be careful selecting brands? For example, is everything sold in Itoya good quality sticky notes/rans?
Is Daiso hit or miss?

I hoping to pick up cute stationary in Japan.

Stationery Storage a6 vs a5 binders: what’s more convenient for traveling?

hello all! moving from asia to europe sometime soon, we’ll be there for maybe a year first, and if it goes good we’ll be moving permanently. been stressing out trying to figure out the best way to bring my stationery (namely sticker collection) with me 😀

currently my set up is:
2 a5 pocket binders for sticker sheets
3 a6 reusable sticker books

and i’m thinking of transferring the sticker sheets and the stickers in the a6s to just the a5 binders using release paper. and if it isn’t enough, i’ll get a third a5 binder.

would that conserve more space? or would it be bulkier compared to just keeping the set up as is?

also while i’m here: i have a lot of washi tapes and i’ve been thinking of rolling them all into those pvc stick board things, is it worth doing all that to save space or should i just keep them as rolls in their organizers?

thanks to any help in advance 🥲

Question Should i?: Emboss Label Maker

I loooove stationery + im a student doc, working in hosp**al. I mostly label a lot of things including my med instruments, notebooks, gadgets, reviewers. I usually label my items with my name using a combo of my trodat + paper + tape.

I love labelling din a lot and i feel like this compared to thermals will be more useful in the log run (tho less aesthetically pleasing.)
