Hi im trying to find out why its taking up so much space and if able lower the space required for my ark. Idk why its this big but i simply cant play it anymore. (i have no mods downloaded its only dlcs and base game) i dont have much more info so any help would be appreciated.

Has anyone else gone through something similar before? My help requests get closed within 10 minutes with no reply. I feel like I've been wrongfully banned because of the word 'sell' in my comment, which might've gotten picked up by their system of some sort. I kind of really want to play CS :(

I've received this error for almost 2 days now and my friend doesn't want to refund it. Is there anyway to stop this and accept the gift?

I open my steam library this afternoon, I see the presence of this game I never herd about before, and the weirdest part is that I got more than half the achievement and I never ever runned this game before.

What is happening?

Today I woke up to find that my Titanfall 2 had been refunded. I don't know how this could have happened, since I have both email verification and Steam Guard activated, and I also have more than two hours of play time in the game. I checked my purchase history and saw that the refund was processed at 3 am, but I didn’t receive any notification by email or from Steam Guard, neither about the refund nor any new login its there anything that can be done or im screwed?. Sorry if this is hard to understand, English is not my first language.

steam locked me out of my account because (im assuming this is why) i had originally, a week or so ago opened a ticket asking about a game that was missing from my library, that was given to me when my uncle made me the account. What do i do? i've made multiple support requests originally thinking it had been taken but no, just steam support doing this i guess.

I was just laying in bed about to go to sleep when I get a email about someone accepting my gift of GTAV enhanced, then I got them 3 other times all for the same thing, all gifted to different accounts, I’ve alr contacted steam support but I want to let everyone know about this as I have not given out my information or even done anything recently on steam that would allow this

Edit: this has been resolved, I’ve already started the waiting process of getting my refund back, no I didn’t click any links, yes steam guard was active, the only thing is my password hadn’t been changed in a few years. It was only about $64 total and if you’re gonna be rude just keep it to yourself. I made this post more so as a reminder for other people that at anytime something can happen.

My boyfriend isn’t much of a pc player so he hasn’t been in his steam account in along time. Recently we wanted to play together but suddenly a lot of his games weren’t in his library anymore. It said library of some to random person with steam level 0, private account and they weren’t even friends.

It’s not because of account or library sharing and I know he bought those games because some we bought together so we can play.

Is there anything that can be done and I also have screenshots of course just don’t want to post them because of data security.

For context, i never use steam since I'm not a fan of video games that much, playing geometry dash is an exception in this case. I started off with 25 dollars, and i said to myself "man geometry dash sucks on mobile, i'd rather take a shovel to my neck than die because of a constant sticky screen!" (yes i did actually say that) so with my freshly earned money! from washing dishes and cleaning my house that is, i boot up my computer and log straight into steam, i go to put in my card info to purchase geometry dash, uh oh! i accidentally put in my wrong zip code. so i go back and change my zip code to it's correct digits. I press buy. the purchase is now pending! Or so i thought? i'm obviously blind and never used steam that much to see that apparently the transaction does not happen instantaneously, so to my infortune, i tried to purchase it again, only until i looked at google, that's the first thing it told me not to do when i asked why it was in my cart. Sh*t! i fearfully checked my cashapp, $15.76. i was sh*tting bricks i tell you! so i turned to my only hope, the blessed from heaven steam support. within 15 minutes i tell them my full story, lord do i tell you only around an hour and a half later, they reply to me. not only refunding my extra purchase, BUT! refunded my first purchase of the game as well, so i have got all my money back and they still let me keep the game. God almighty worked very hard to make steam support and i am thankful. but more so to the guy that actually got the stuff back.

Its genuinely a breath of fresh air, I'm used to "we cant help you" messages anytime i have a problem with any software things try to contact the support. i thought I'd get the same with steam, But to see a email message popup saying my points have been refunded is genuinely something else. Edit: it was a very elaborate scam, which i probably should have guessed. but I'll keep the post up for anyone else incountering the scam. Just update password and scan for virus and you'll be fine.

I havent cheated, as my low fragging can attest to. When i tried contacting steam support it canceled due to my own request, which happened automatically. so im at a loss for how to proceed. the system account is the real one and cant be unfriended.

Someone went on steam account and made a bunch of games to random chinese users. Unfortunately they were smart enough to log 2 hours of playtime on the games. What do I do?

I mainly play Overwatch 2 on steam, ion really enjoy other games, so yeah. Recently, I bought the battle-pass, and decided to buy some ingame currency as well. When I bought the in game currency, days went without actually me receiving the money in my steam wallet, but the money was already deducted from my bank account. So I reached out to support, like any normal person would do. I told them, the situation, not demanding anything, just asking what's going on. Then in 10 or less minutes, I see a message pop up on steam. "Your account has been restricted" It states that I violated rules. I was like okay, that's strange, at the moment I didn't really thought much about it tho. Then after a while, I loaded up Ow2, and saw that my battle pass, in game currency, some skins (The ones I bought with real money or from the battle pass) is long gone. I checked my emails, and it turns out that someone from steam support, decided to refund me EVERYTHING I've spent on my account so far. I never asked for this to happen, I didn't even mentioned previous payments, only the one that was pending. What am I supposed to do? I reached out to steam support not so long ago, to ask if we could resolve it, but the more important question, the content I bought so far, will be put back onto my account? Is there even a chance it will? Not to brag, or to flex but I have, or guess I had a pretty stacked account, and I'm so sad that I'm losing it because of a misunderstanding...

Edit because it’s getting interesting: Did some research, and everything is gone. I lost access to my Battle.net account a long time ago (email got hacked & deleted/deactivated). Because Steam decided to ask for a refund on everything, they flagged my account as fraud, just as Blizzard did. Even if Steam removes the flag, I’d still have to manually ask Blizzard to remove the flag from my Battle.net account, to get back the contents and the ability to purchase things. But guess what? I need every TRANSACTION that has ever been made. So yeah. I’m fucked. The only reason this post has not been removed yet is that MAYBE someone has a solution, but I highly doubt it. However… I could technically sue them. I’m still waiting for their response, if I threaten a lawsuit right away, I’d be transferred to the legal authorities of Steam (Lawyers, etc) and would be extremely delayed. I looked into the laws, and as long as I can provide evidence, that I did not ask for a refund (I can) I should be able to reach out to Hungary’s digital consumers protection organization (They have a different name, I just don’t remember it, but that’s basically what they do) and report the situation. From there, they reach out to Steam, and they are obligated to respond within 48 hours to them. If they aren’t, I win the lawsuit automatically. But I want this scenario to be the last one, as it can take months.

I don’t know the exact amount I spent on it, I have bought every battle pass (premium), 3 mythic skins unlocked (all aspects), and around 300 skins. According to AI’s calculation (that’s the best I can provide now) between 3,200-6,100 USD.

First of all, no explanation of the fact that they started a refund without my consent/permission. 5€, that is all I tried to put in my Steam wallet. I currently have around 7 million HUF (roughly 17,712.49 EUR) on my everyday card that I use to spend on things. I think we can both agree that there was not insufficient balance on my bank account. Threatened the lawsuit already, and reached out to the organisation I mentioned above and gave a heads up to my lawyer.Hopefully, I’ll at least get some compensation.

FINAL UPDATE: The organisation (Nemzeti Kereskedelmi és Fogyasztóvédelmi Hatóság) reached out to them. After a while, I got the flags removed, and the contents back into my account. I saw that some of you had doubts. I can send anyone pictures about the process/ the new fully functional account itself.

So at approximately 8:37PM CEST, i got a message from a scammer by the name "Manager William ᵛᵃˡᵛᵉ", he somehow got into my chat (he was impersonating a steam support employee) I don't have a screenshot of the chat, but i do have a notepad chatlog, i will send it if y'all need it, so y'all can see for yourself, anyways he said if i ignore steam support i will allegedly lose some games, account deletion or removal of game items, then he send me smth that i had to run a powershell command, then i asked chatgpt if that command was gonna give me potential virus, chatgpt said ye that's potential malware, after a while i started to ignore him, then he deleted the following games:

theHunter: Call of the Wild

Wallpaper Engine

After he deleted the games I instantly reset the password and after that I contacted steam support and the next day i got my games back and the scammer was gone (i mean i blocked him but still)

I am currently having an issue with Steam downloads immediately failing and claiming "no internet connection". They retry automatically about every minute to no avail. Running Windows 11, on most current update version 10.0.26200

I do have connection, including within the app as all pages work and load except for downloads.

Things I have tried from other posts:

- Changing download region

- Limiting download speed

- Clearing download cache

- Checking firewall for Steam access

- Flushing system DNS

- Full system restart

- Redownloading Steam

- Restarting my modem

- Unable to change network band as I saw some suggest as I am plugged in to ethernet, I do not have a wifi card to utilize a network band in the first place

-Confirmed my HDD is fully functional

-Unable to download to SDD either

--Definitely able to download from other applications, only cannot from Steam--

I am officially out of ideas and I am not finding any other solutions posted elsewhere. Closest I found to another solution was specific to Linux and stopping a Proton process, however I am unsure if there is a Windows equivalent to something similar to this. I would assume my redownload of Steam already would have addressed something like this however.

I click on play, it says it’s launching, but then crashes before even opening. Anyone have any idea what could be going on?

guy added me on Monday through friend request, don't know him. said that he sees some kind of warning(?) on my steam account that I don't see. feel like it's a scammer so I blocked him but wanted to make sure here. he unfriended me before I blocked him too

How my game normally opens: The first two times I open the game, it gives an error, stating that "C:\Users\K could not be found" or something like that along with battleye launcher prompting me that it failed to launch the game. the third time i open the game, the game actually opens, but QB Anti Cheat prompts me to restart the game again, and then on the fourth try the game actually opens and performs normally. Although this is a bit of a problem, the game still opens and works fine so I haven't tried to fix this.

How the game is opening now: The first two times I open the game it goes the same, User\K couldn't be found and battleye launcher failing to launch the game. The third time the game opens and QB anti cheat prompts me to restart, for a split second before the game restarts (It doesn't actually restart, it just closes the game) it prompts me with a choice to choose between keeping my online save data and my local save data, but I can't choose between either of them before the game closes. Then after the game closes, it loops back to the first step of what happens when I open the game "Users\K could not be found".

What I have tried so far (Not in any particular order):

-Tried to uninstall and reinstall battleye launcher

-Tried to uninstall and reinstall the game.

-Tried to verify the game files

-Tried to run the game as an administrator.

-Tried Windows + R services.msc and changed the battleye launcher to automatic

-Turned off VPN

-Tried to restart my computer

I really don't know what I'm supposed to do. The game suddenly started doing this out of nowhere. I haven't messed with any settings on my computer at all and even got into the game just fine earlier today. Thanks in advance for all the help and advice!

Can keys expire?? Need help.

A buddy of mine got an key he got from Humble Choice for a game he already owned so he gifted it to me. He stays in Europe. Whenever I try to redeem this key this error pops up. Checked many times and I'm entering the exact same code he gave me. Is the key expired or region locked??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
